On an overcast evening with sometimes drizzling rain, the make-up game between Twins Oosterhout-2 and Quick Amersfoort went underway, but had to be stopped due to the weather and field-conditions after six complete innings.
At that moment, Quick was leading 5-3.
But as five complete innings had been played, it already had become a valid game.
Quick Amersfoort struck early by scoring three runs in the top of the first inning off of starter Lucas den Duijn.
With one out, Emeron Lourens and Alex Madera both singled.
When Madera's basehit was followed by an outfield-error, it led to runners on second and third base.
Moments later, Lourens scored the first run on a sacrifice fly by Jorge Hernandez Morantes.
Now with two outs, next batter Marvin Jakobus connected well and hit a 2-run homerun, his second homerun in this Pool.

Quick was retired in order in the second inning, then got another baserunner with two outs in the top of the third when Alex Madera delivered his second basehit.
He stole second base, but was left behind.
In the fourth inning, Quick added its fourth run.
Marvin Jakobus led off and reached second base on an error, then scored on a following single by Pascal Zegwaard.
A flyout and double play then ended the at bat.
Quick increased its lead to 5-0 in the fifth inning off of new pitcher Onno van Gool.
The righthander began with a strikeout, then gave up a single to Jordy Burger, followed with a strikeout, but then also gave up a single to Alex Madera, who was 3-for-3.
Shortly hereafter, Burger scored Quick's fifth run when Jorge Hernandez Morantes reached on an error.
Van Gool closed with his third strikeout and so, Quick left runners behind on first and third base.
Jack Wagner started for the Amersfoort-team, kept Twins scoreless and gave up only one basehit in the four innings he pitched.
Trailing 3-0, Twins got its first three batters on base in the bottom of the first inning, but all three were eliminated.
Lead-off hitter Marnix Ruben walked and next batter Matthew Joossens singled, which was the lone basehit Wagner gave up.
Ruben then stole third base.
Hereafter, both runners were eliminated in a double play following a grounder by Thijmen Peters.
The inning then ended when the latter was caught stealing.
In the third inning, Twins got another runner in scoring position.
With one out, Dick van Heesch walked and with two outs, Matthew Joossens reached on an error.
But they were left behind.
In the fourth inning, the Quick-defense turned another double play.
But in the bottom of the fifth, Twins narrowed the deficit to 5-3 by scoring three unearned runs off of new pitcher Deef van Leersum.
With one out, Bo Kops reached on an error and Dick van Heesch walked.
Marnix Ruben followed with an RBI-double and after Van Leersum struckout the next batter, he gave up a 2-run single to Thijmen Peters.
Jerzy van Gool then added a double, which led to a pitching change.
Jasper Popken took over and he got an inning-ending flyout.
In the meantime, it had started to rain and the field became slippery, but the sixth inning went underway.
In the top of the sixth, new pitcher Esra van den Berg gave up an one-out single to Amar van Zwieten, but next batter Lars Visser then grounded into an inning-ending double play.
In the bottom of the sixth, Twins got another chance to erase the deficit off of Jasper Popken.
He began with a strikeout, then gave up a single to Albin Lebron.
After another strikeout accounted for the second out, Dick van Heesch singled and Marnix Ruben walked to load the bases.
However, with three runners on base, the inning ended with a grounder.
That also became the final action in the game.
Umpires Jacques Krutzen and Frely Jones inspected the field-conditions and concluded that especially the mound had become unplayable due to the now steady rain.
And so, the game was ended after six complete innings.
