 Starting Pitchers coming postseason-series

Coming Thursday-evening (August 17), the real deciding phase of the Dutch big league-season will begin.
On Thursday, the two best-of-five Play-Offs will begin.
The two winners on these series will meet each other in the all-deciding best-of-seven Holland Series.
Last weekend, the three Wild Card Series were played, which formed the first round of the postseason.
Curaçao Neptunus won the best-of-three Wild Card Top Series against L&D Amsterdam Pirates, 2-1.
By qualifying for the Wild Card Top Series, both Amsterdam Pirates and Neptunus also secured their spot in the Play-Offs, whether they would win or loose the Top Series.
By finishing in first (Pirates) and second (Neptunus) place in the Top-4 Pool, the two teams also secured home-advantage in Play-Offs (August 18-28).
But the outcome of the Top Series was also to decide who would face who in the upcoming Play-Offs.
As winner of the Top Series, Neptunus plays in its Play-Off against Twins Oosterhout, which swept Hoofddorp Pioniers 2-0 in its best-of-three Wild Card Bottom Series.
In its Play-Off, reigning champion Pirates will meet HCAW, which also recorded a 2-0 sweep in its Bottom Series against DSS/Kinheim.
Saturday's games offered a lot of action, discussions and some weird and rare moments on what was the hottest August 13 ever in the Netherlands.

The winners of the Play-Offs will advance to the best-of-seven Holland Series, which opens on September 8.
The winner of this Championship Final will be the Dutch Champion and will qualify for next years European Champions Cup-tournament.
By finishing in first place in the Top-4 Pool, Amsterdam Pirates became the first team to qualify for this event.

DSS/Kinheim and Hoofddorp Pioniers also will begin a best-of-five Play-Off coming Thursday.
That series will decide fifth and sixth place and will begin in Haarlem at the site of DSS/Kinheim.
RCH Memorie Sieraden, Quick Amersfoort and Silicon Storks, the teams that finished in third, fourth and fifth place in the Bottom-5 Pool, also come into action again on Thursday.
They will continue the postseason in a new Pool and also will meet UVV, Twins Oosterhout-2 and Sparks Haarlem, who respectively finished in first, second and third place in the Top-6 Pool of the First Division.
The six teams in this Major League/First Division Pool will meet each other in 3-games series and play a 15-game schedule.
RCH-Pinguïns played its last regular season-game on August 2, Quick Amersfoort on July 31 and Storks on July 24.
This upcoming Pool will be a new experience with some adjustments for UVV, Twins-2 and Sparks Haarlem.
In their regular season, these teams only played a 2-game series in the weekend (or one game on Friday and the other in the weekend).
Now, they have to play three games in four days.
In the opening round of this Pool, UVV meets RCH-Pinguïns, which was eliminated for the Wild Card Qualifier in the final weekend of the big league-regular season.
On July 27, UVV finished in first place of the First Division Top-6 Pool to become the First Division-champion.
Coming Saturday (August 20), UVV plays at home and before the game, the team will be honored by the Dutch Federation.
Neptunus Tridents, Euro Stars and Omron Pioniers, the teams that finished fourth, fifth and sixth place in the First Division Top-6 Pool, also will continue in a postseason-pool.
They will play six additional games, which will be played via the triple-header format in which each team plays two 7-inning games on one day.
The first round will be played on August 27 at the site of Euro Stars in Capelle a/d IJssel, the second round on September 3 at the site of Hoofddorp Pioniers in Hoofddorp and the third and final round will be played on September 10 at the site of Neptunus Tridents in Rotterdam.
