Hoofddorp Pioniers led 5-1 after four innings, then DSS/Kinheim came back in the fifth inning.
From the sixth inning on, Pioniers took more distance by adding four more runs.
Pioniers collected fourteen basehits, including four by Duco Nuijten, who was 4-for-4.
He scored twice and batted in one run.
Pioniers took an early lead in the top of the first inning off of starting pitcher Martijn Schoonderwoerd.
Lead-off hitter Raul Jacobs reached second base on a throwing error.
He was then brought to third base via a sacrifice bunt by Duco Nuijten and scored when next batter Oliver van der Wijst Severino hit the ball over the leftfield-fence for a 2-run homerun.
DSS/Kinheim appeared to come back immediately off of Pioniers-starter Koen van 't Klooster, as the team got the bases loaded with hitting a basehit.
With two outs, Van 't Klooster walked Koen Halderman, Jochem Koedijk and Sem Kuijper.
The first delivery to next batter Daisuke Fukuka also was outside the strikezone.
But the Japanese infielder then went after the next pitch he saw and hit a force play-grounder that ended what could have been a productive at bat.
Now, three runners were left behind.

After Pioniers had left a runner behind on second base in the top of the second inning, DSS/Kinheim did score a run in its second at bat.
Again, the team got on base without recording a basehit.
Seb Visser and Bram Blokker started the at bat with a walk and advanced via a sacrifice bunt by Nick Hofer.
Van 't Klooster recovered and struckout next batter Thomas Bos.
He then also appeared to escape out of this inning unharmed, but a grounder by Jason Jakobus ended in a throwing error, which enabled Visser to score.
Blokker also tried to score, but he was eliminated at the plate, which ended the at bat.
Pioniers took some more distance in the third and fourth inning.
In the third, the team added a run with one out.
Lead-off hitter Raul Jacobs was hit by a pitch, but was caught stealing.
Duco Nuijten then singled and with two outs, Reangelo Willems walked Mark Smit followed with a runscoring single.
In the fifth inning, Pioniers scored twice.
With one out, Brandon Sint Jago singled.
Next batter Pim Vijfvinkel reached on an infield-hit towards second base, but when that was followed by a throwing error, Sint Jago was able to score.
Hereafter, Pioniers got the bases loaded when Raul Jacobs and Duco Nuijten both singled.
Moments later, Vijfvinkel scored on a wild pitch.
The visitors got the bases loaded again when Oliver van der Wijst Severino walked.
With still three runners on base, Martijn Schoonderwoerd recovered and struckout Reangelo Willems and Mark Smit.
After having scored a run in the second inning, DSS/Kinheim got two more baserunners in the third.
With one out, Jochem Koedijk singled.
This was to be the lone basehit allowed by Koen van 't Klooster, however, he walked seven batters.
With one out, the righthander walked Daisuke Fukuda, then closed the inning by striking out Seb Visser.
In the bottom of the fourth, Van 't Klooster walked Nick Hofer with one out, but then was supported with a double play.
In the bottom of the fifth, DSS/Kinheim narrowed the deficit to 5-3 by scoring twice.
Lead-off hitter Jason Jakobus struckout, but reached first base when strike-three ended in a wild pitch.
A pitching change followed.
Nathan Diaby took over and encountered some problems.
He first walked Koen Halderman, then gave up a runscoring double to Jochem Koedijk.
With one out, Daisuke Fukuda delivered an RBI-single.
But with runners on first and third base, Fukuda was caught stealing and a flyout ended the at bat.
In the next two innings, Diaby got only one more baserunner and went on to become the winning pitcher.
Now leading only 5-3, Pioniers took more distance from the sixth inning on, scoring four more runs.
Two of these runs were scored in the top of the sixth off of former teammate Mathijs Oosterbeek.
He started the season on the roster of Pioniers, but transfered to DSS/Kinheim in late May.
With one out, the righthander gave up singles to Duco Nuijten and Oliver van der Wijst Severino.
With two outs, Oosterbeek could have avoided giving up runs, but when a grounder by Mark Smit ended in a throwing error, both Nuijten and Van der Wijst scored.
In the seventh inning, Pioniers added one run, but also left three runners behind.
With one out, Brandon Sint Jago doubled and Pioniers got the bases loaded when Pim Vijfvinkel and Raul Jacobs both walked.
A run was then scored when Duco Nuijten delivered his fourth basehit tonight.
With still three runners on base, Robyn Clara took over the pitching.
He got an infield-fly from Oliver van der Wijst, then struckout Nick Winkel to end the at bat.
In the eighth inning, Pioniers increased its lead to 9-3.
Mark Smit led off with a single and scored on an one-out double by Jorrit Penseel.
In the bottom of the eighth, DSS/Kinheim got one run back off of new pitcher Lars Broersen.
With one out, he hit Seb Visser with a pitch.
He advanced on a wild pitch, then scored on a 2-out single by Nick Hofer.
Hereafter, Thomas Bos also singled, but Broersen closed with a strikout for Jason Jakobus.
DSS/Kinheim got another scoring opportunity in the bottom of the ninth when it got the bases loaded with one out off of new pitcher Anthony Marlin.
Koen Halderman led off with a single.
With one out, Sem Kuijper and Daisuke Fukua both walked.
But the inning and the game ended when next batter Seb Visser grounded into a double play.
