Pilot-Pool: RCH-Pinguïns vs. Storks cancelled again
Nederlands
HEEMSTEDE (Neth.) -
The first of two make-up games between RCH Memorie Sieraden and Silicon Storks in the Major League/First Division Pilot-Pool was cancelled again on Tuesday (September 20) due to field-conditions.
The game was originally scheduled for last Thursday, but then had to be cancelled when a heavy rain-shower struck some twenty minutes before game-time.
Tonight's game is now re-scheduled for tomorrow-evening (Wednesday).
Sunday's originally scheduled third game also rained out.
In between, the teams were able to play what would gave been the second game of the 3-game series on Saturday in The Hague at the site of Storks.
There, the home-team won with a 12-7 score.
But after the, sometimes heavy, rain in the weekend, as well as on Monday, the home-field of RCH-Pinguïns in Heemstede was still unplayable today.
And so, in the late afternoon, the first of two make-up games was cancelled.
Sunday's cancelled game is scheduled to be played coming Thursday-evening (September 22), also in Heemstede.
Tonight, another make-up game in this Pool could be played.
Playing at home, UVV won 3-1 against Quick Amersfoort.
