RCH-Pinguïns had a productive evening in its first make-up game against Storks.
The teams will meet again on Thursday-evening to complete their series and their season.
Tonight, RCH took an early lead by scoring three runs in the first at bat and added three more in the fourth.
Storks then scored what would be its lone run in the fifth, but the home-team rallied for seven more runs in the sixth to reach a mercy-rule run-difference.
Finn Kragt went the distance for RCH and again had a solid outing.
The righthander struckout eleven batters and gave up only five basehits.
A week ago, in another make-up game against Sparks Haarlem, Kragt threw a complete 9-inning game, then struckout ten batters and gave up four basehits.
RCH opened the score with three runs in the bottom of the first inning off of starter Twan Naessens.
He walked lead-off hitter Paris Aguilera Zayas, then gave up a single to Thomas Kwakernaak.
An errant pick-off attempt to second base resulted in runners on second and third base.
Both runners scored on runscoring singles from respectively Jesse Aussems and Yurdion Martie.
With runners at the corners, Martie moved to second base on a grounder by Geoffrey Verhoef.
On a following grounder by Ties van der Beek, Aussems took off towards the plate.
He appeared to be eliminated, but a throwing error was made and so, the third run in the at bat could be recorded.

After two scoreless innings, RCH added three more runs in the bottom of the fourth.
Koen Werkman led off with an infield-hit and stole second and third base.
With one out, Thomas Kwakernaak walked.
Moments later, Werkman scored when a fly into the outfield by Jesse Aussems ended in an error, which also led to runners on second and third base.
RCH got the bases loaded when next batter Yurdion Martie walked.
Geoffrey Verhoef followed with a runscoring single.
With the bases still loaded, Verhoef was forced out on a grounder by Ties van der Beeke, but that also brought in Aussems and lifted the lead to 6-0.
Storks was held scoreless in its first four innings by Finn Kragt.
Storks came into scoring position in two of these at bats.
In the top of the second inning, lead-off hitter Mike van den Berg reached on an error and Curtis Duinkerk singled.
The first then moved to third base when Quinten Rigters flied out.
Shortly thereafter, Duinkerk was caught stealing and Kragt closed with a strikeout.
In the fourth, Storks again got a runner on third base.
This time, Ruben Scheurkogel led off with a walk, moved on a passed ball, then reached third base on a 2-out single by Quinten Rigters.
Again, Kragt closed with a strikeout.
But in the top of the fifth, now trailing 6-0, Storks scored a run.
With one out, Kragt got the bases loaded when Raibiently Mercalina and Kelvin Knape both singled and Sigmar Eustacia walked.
When the latter was forced out on a grounder by Ruben Scheurkogel, Mercalina scored.
But for Storks, this would be its lone run in the game.
In the fifth inning, Johannes Verroen Garcia pitched for Storks.
The righthander struckout three batters in the lone inning he threw.
RCH-Pinguïns then rallied for seven runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.
David van Heyningen took over the Storks-pitching, but he got seven baserunners.
Thomas Kwakernaak led off with a single and Jesse Aussems walked.
Both scored when Yurdion Martie followed with a double.
Martie went on to score on a grounder by Geoffrey Verhoef.
Hereafter, RCH got the bases loaded and added four unearned runs.
Now with one out, Ties van der Beeke walked.
With two outs, a throwing error on a force play-grounder by Daan Groenewoud led to two runners, then the bases got loaded when Koen Werkman walked.
All three scored when Teun van der Meer followed with a baseclearing, 3-run double.
That gave RCH a mercy-rule lead of 12-1 and also led to a pitching change.
Kelvin Knape took over, but he was greeted with an RBI-single from Thomas Kwakernaak, who reached base five times tonight.
Kwakernaak was 3-for-3, walked twice, scored three runs and batted in one run.
Storks got one more chance to do some scoring, as it got the bases loaded in the top of the seventh.
With one out, Raibiently Mercalina walked, Kelvin Knape singled and Sigmar Eustacia was hit by a pitch.
But with three runners on base, Finn Kragt struckout the next two batters to end the game.<
