Quick Amersfoort recorded a comfortable win tonight and finished the game via the mercy-rule in the seventh inning, but it was Storks that initially opened the score in the first inning. The Storks-offense was limited to only three basehits. Quick collected nine basehits, but four Storks-pitchers also issued 15 walks. Two Quick-pitchers walked six batters.

In the top of the first inning, Storks scored two unearned runs off of starter Jhan Rifaela. The lefthander walked Jurian Hansen and Raibiently Mercalina. With one out, an fly by Edvin Yrausquin was dropped in the outfield and that loaded the bases. A grounder by following batter Ruben Scheurkogel then appeared to result in an inning-ending double play. However, only Yrausquin was forced out at second base. Scheurkogel reached first base and advanced on a throwing error, which enabled Mercalina to score the second run. The inning ended when Scheurkogel was picked off at second base by the catcher.

In its first at bat off of starter Johannes Verroen Garcia, Quick answered by scoring seven runs on only two basehits. Quick got twelve batters and seven of them walked! Besides that, Verroen also uncorked seven wild pitches! Oh, the righthander also struckout two batters. After Jordy Burger had led off with a walk, Verroen struckout Emeron Lourens. Burger advanced on a wild pitch, then the bases got loaded when Alex Madera and Jorge Hernandez Morantes also walked. Two wild pitches then led to two runs. With Hernandez on second base, Verroen struckout Ibrahin Redan, but then saw Hernandez score the next run on his fourth wild pitch. With that, the bases were now empty, but more traffic followed soon after. Marvin Jakobus walked and moved to third on a wild pitch, then Pascal Zegwaard also walked. Another wild pitch followed and that brought in Jakobus. With Zegwaard on second base, it was Rodney Daal, who received the next walk. Irving Redan, the ninth batter in the inning, then delivered the first basehit and with that, he batted in Zegwaard. With runners on first and second base, Verroen uncorked his seventh wild pitch and that also led to an error, Daal scored and Redan ended up in third base. When Verroen hereafter issued his seventh walk to Jordy Burger, a pitching change followed. Obed Hernandez took over. He gave up a runscoring single to Emeron Lourens which accounted for the seventh run. Lourens was forced out, but Quick had more-or-less already had decided the outcome of tonight's game.

The home-team added another run in the bottom of the second inning. Jorge Hernandez Morantes led off with a double and scored on a following single by Ibrahin Redan.

Storks also got two baserunners on walks in its second at bat. With two outs, Curtis Duinkerk and Khirstan Gibbs both walked, but Jhan Rifaela closed with a strikeout.

Storks got a run back in the top of the third. Raibiently Mercalina led off with a double. He stole third base, but was unable to advance on an one-out infield-hit by Edvin Yrausquin. Mercalina then scored on a sacrifice fly by Ruben Scheurkogel.

Storks was kept scoreless in the next three innings. But in these three middle innings, Quick added nine more runs.

The first of these nine runs was scored in the fourth. Quick then got the bases loaded when Ibrahin Redan led off with a single, Marvin Jakobus walked and Pascal Zegwaard was hit by a pitch. Redan scored on a wild pitch by Obed Hernandez. With runners on second and third base, Rodney Daal hit a line drive. That was caught by third baseman Raibiently Mercalina, who then completed a double play by eliminating Jakobus at second base. Hernandez closed with a strikeout.

Quick added two runs in the fifth inning off of new pitcher David van Heyningen. He walked the first two batters he faced, Jordy Burger and Emeron Lourens, then got the bases loaded when Alex Madera singled. Burger went on to score on a sacrifice fly by Jorge Hernandez Morantes, Lourens scored the next run on a wild pitch. With runners on second and third base and two outs, Van Heyningen closed with a strikeout, but Quick now led 11-3.

In the bottom of the sixth, Quick reached the (more than) 10-run difference by scoring six runs on two basehits, four walks, a hit batter, an error and two more wild pitches. Besides walking fifteen batters, the four Storks-pitchers tonight also threw eleven wild pitches.

In the sixth, Van Heyningen hit lead-off hitter Rodney Daal with a pitch. After Daal had advanced on a wild pitch, Alden Stacie walked. With one out, another wild pitch led to runners on second and third base. Daal then scored when a (sacrifice) fly by Emeron Lourens was dropped in the outfield and Stacie scored the next run on a single by Mika Muller, which gave Quick a 10-run difference. Next, Quick got the bases loaded when Jorge Hernandez Morantes walked. That was the moment for another pitching change. Short stop Kelvin Knape took the mound, but he walked Ibrahin Redan, which brought in the fourteenth run. The scoring wasn't over yet, as Muller scored the next run on a force play-grounder by Marvin Jakobus. The bases were loaded again when Pascal Zegwaard became the fifteenth batter to receive a walk. Rodney Daal followed with a 2-run single to lift the lead to 17-3.

Storks managed to score one more run in the top of the seventh off of Jan-Willem Geerts, who had relieved Jhan Rifaela in the previous inning. Lead-off hitter Curtis Duinkerk reached on an error, advanced on a single by Khirstan Gibbs and reached third base on a force play-grounder by Julian Hansen. After Geerts had walked Raibiently Mercalina, Duinkerk scored on a force play-grounder by Sigmar Eustacia. With runners at the corners, Geerts closed the game with a strikeout.
