In tonight's game, UVV broke a 2-2 tie in the second inning, led only 4-3 halfway the fifth, but then took more distance en route to a 10-4 victory.
The team collected eight basehits, but got twelve more batters on free passes, eight of them on a walk, the other four were hit by a pitch.
Sparks Haarlem recorded six basehits and also got six more runners on a walk, but was limited to only four runs.
The home-playing UVV-team opened the score with two runs in the bottom of the first inning off of starter (and former Dutch big leaguer) Rutger Zwaal.
The righthander got the bases loaded quickly, as he walked Malcolm Marlin and Ryan Wheat, then gave up an infield-hit to Luke Oliphant.
Curaçao-born Marlin scored the first run when Australian Karl Hoschke grounded into a double play.
Moments later, American Wheat scored on a passed ball.
In the top of the second inning, Sparks Haarlem came alongside off of starter Aaron Isenia.
He also saw the first three batters reach.
Joffrey Heus led off with a walk, Yasar Guntekin singled and his brother Arno Guntekin also walked.
On a grounder by next batter Calvin Semeleer, it was attempted to force out the latter at second base, but a throwing error followed.
Heus scored on the grounder, but the first Guntekin also was able to score due to the error.
The second Guntekin advanced to third base, but he was then eliminated at the plate, trying to score on an one-out grounder by Mitchel Dautzenberg.

UVV immediately re-took the lead in the bottom of the second inning, which also was the result of an error.
Lucas Bekker led off with a walk.
He then appeared to be eliminated in a steal-attempt, but an error was made and so, Bekker ended up on third base.
Moments later, he scored on a wild pitch.
UVV added another run in the third.
With two outs, Karl Hoschke was hit by a pitch, then scored all the way from first base on a double by Daan Terstall.
The Vleuten-based team got the bases loaded shortly thereafter when Lucas Bekker walked and Stefan Kuipers reached on an error.
But they were all left behind.
In the top of the fourth, Sparks Haarlem narrowed the deficit to 4-3.
Arno Guntekin led off with a walk, stole second base, moved to third base on an one-out single by Calvin Semeleer and scored on a force play-grounder by Mitchel Dautzenberg.
But from the bottom of the fifth on, UVV started to take more distance.
The team first added a run in the fifth off of Menno Soederhuijsen, who had taken over the Sparks-pitching in the fourth.
Daan Terstall led off with his second double and moved to third base on a single by Lucas Bekker.
When the latter was forced out on a grounder by Stefan Kuipers, Terstall scored.
Two more runs were scored in the sixth.
With one out, the Sparks-defense made three consecutive errors.
First, Ryan Wheat's fly into the outfield was dropped, then Luke Oliphant reached on a fielding error in the infield.
After a double steal, Wheat scored when Karl Hoschke also reached on a fielding error.
That led to another pitching change.
First baseman Joffrey Heus took the mound for Sparks and got a flyout.
Moments later, he got the bases loaded when he hit Lucas Bekker with a pitch, then a run was scored when he followed with a walk for Stefan Kuipers.
UVV left three runners behind, but now led 7-3.
Heus retired the side in the seventh, but gave up three more runs in the eighth on only one basehit.
He got the bases loaded when he walked lead-off hitter Luke Oliphant, gave up a single to Karl Hoschke and also walked Daan Terstall.
The first run was then scored when Heus hit Lucas Bekker with a pitch.
With that, Bekker had reached five times, but only once via a basehit.
He walked twice and also was hit twice.
Hereafter, Heus turned an 1-2-3 double play on a comeback-grounder by Stefan Kuipers, but he then got the bases loaded again when he also hit Etienne van Tielraden with a pitch.
A single by Daan Jansen then brought in both Terstall and Bekker and that lifted the lead to 10-3.
Sparks Haarlem was held scoreless in the fifth and sixth inning by Aaron Isenia.
He was relieved in the seventh by Kyle Ward, who held the Haarlem-team to two more scoreless at bats.
In the fifth, Ruben Hoek led off with a single, but was caught stealing.
In the sixth, Sparks got another scoring opportunity.
With one out, Yasar Guntekin and Arno Guntekin both walked.
The latter was forced out and the team left runners behind on first and third base.
After being retired in order by Ward in the seventh and eighth inning, Sparks Haarlem managed to score one more run in the top of the ninth.
Arno Guntekin led off with his fourth walk in the game.
With one out, he moved to third base on a single by Siebe van Pelt, then scored on a grounder by Wessel Pirovano.
Former Dutch big leaguer Kyle Ward then closed the inning and the game with a strikeout to earn a 3-inning save.
