HAARLEM (Neth.) -
Quick Amersfoort won 5-1 against DSS/Kinheim on Sunday (March 27) to remain unbeaten and win the third edition of the Wim Oosterhof Tournament.
Quick Amersfoort had won twice on Day 1 on Saturday.
The second day of the tournament began with a 3-0 shutout-win for DSS/Kinheim against the second team of Amsterdam Pirates.
In the next game, Twins Oosterhout recorded a big 12-1 win against Pirates.
That set up the final and deciding game between Quick Amersfoort and DSS/Kinheim.
A win for the latter would create a 3-way tie with the score of this last game becoming decisive for the final ranking.
However, Quick won 5-1 to win the tournament.
In 2018, Kinheim organized a tournament for the first time and also became the winner.
A year later, the tournament was named after club-icon Wim Oosterhof, who passed away last year.
Again, Kinheim was the tournament-winner.
After the 2019 season, Kinheim and DSS started to work closer together and from the 2020 season on, the first and second team play under the name DSS/Kinheim.
In 2020 and 2021, the tournament was cancelled due to the measures against the coronavirus (COVID-19).
