Third game between Twins Oosterhout and Amsterdam Pirates rains out
Nederlands
OOSTERHOUT (Neth.) -
The third game of the 3-game series between Twins Oosterhout and Amsterdam Pirates, which was to be played on Sunday (April 23) in Oosterhout, was cancelled due to weather-conditions.
The decision was made in the morning, as the field had become unplayable due to rain overnight, as well as in previous days.
In the opener of the series on Thursday-evening, Pirates recorded a comfortable 11-0 shutout-victory.
In the second game on Saturday, Pirates won 6-4 after a rain-delay of more than an hour.
Today's rained out third game of the series is now re-scheduled for Tuesday-evening (April 25), which is a more-or-less surprising date.
Two games that rained out on Saturday, were both re-scheduled for Monday-evening, as the new 3-game series opens coming Wednesday instead of Thursday.
With that, the teams have an extra day off between games.
Besides that, a make-up home-game of the second team of Twins Oosterhout in the First Division already was scheduled for coming Tuesday-evening.
Because the make-up game of the main-team now has been scheduled for Tuesday, that game has now been moved to Tuesday, May 2.
