 Starting Pitchers coming series

On Thursday-evening (August 8), the next 3-game series opens in both the Top-4 Pool and the Bottom-5 Pool in the Dutch big league, followed by games coming Saturday and Sunday.
Last Tuesday-evening, the lone remaining make-up game was played when Curaçao Neptunus and DSS/Kinheim faced each other in Rotterdam.
They also met in a make-up game a week ago.
Neptunus then needed eleven innings to win 6-3.
This week, another extra-inning appeared to be in the making.
Neptunus took an early 3-0 lead, but DSS/Kinheim came alongside in the sixth inning.
In the bottom of the eighth, Neptunus rallied for four runs and went on to win 7-3.
Last weekend, Curaçao Neptunus suffered its first losses in the Top-4 Pool, both against reigning champion Amsterdam Pirates.
On Saturday, the two teams completed a game that had begun on June 13, which then was the opening-game in the Top-4 Pool and was won by Pirates with a 7-3 score.
In the ninth inning, Neptunus filed a protest against an ordered pitching-change.
The protest was alloted and so, the game had to be replayed from the top of the ninth with one out and a 6-2 lead for Pirates.
In the remainder, Pirates hold on to the lead and went on to win 8-4, handing Neptunus its first loss.
Neptunus then won the regular game with a small 3-1 score.
At home on Sunday, Pirates came back from behind and won 5-4 on a walk-off throwing error.
In the upcoming series in the Bottom-5 Pool, Quick Amersfoort is the team that has no games scheduled this time.
Last Thursday, Quick became the first team to be eliminated for the Wild Card Series.
Beneath are the announced probable starting pitchers for the sixteenth 3-game series of the 2024 season that opens on Thursday-evening, August 8.
As always, these pitching assignments can change on game-days.
