  ROTTERDAM / BUSSUM (Neth.) -
On Thursday-evening (October 10), the best-of-seven Holland Series continues with Game 3 in Rotterdam, beginning at 7:30 PM.
Coming Saturday, Game 4 will be played in Bussum, starting at 2 PM.
When a fifth game is needed, it will be played coming Sunday in Rotterdam, beginning at 1:30 PM.
When needed, Game 6 and Game 7 are scheduled for October 19-20.
Last weekend, the 39th Holland Series went underway and Curaçao Neptunus won twice.
At home on Saturday, Neptunus won the opener against HCAW, 5-3.
On Sunday in Bussum, two extra innings were needed, but Neptunus won again, this time with a 3-2 score in eleven innings.
In both games, it was HCAW that opened the score, but Neptunus came back late both times and turned the game around.
In the opener, HCAW led 2-0 halfway the third inning.
Neptunus scored once in the third, then came alongside in the sixth.
The home-team decided the outcome with a 3-run rally with two outs in the eighth inning.
After the go-ahead run was scored on a wild pitch, Vincent Ahrens added a 2-run single.
In Game 2, HCAW led 2-0 after six innings, while Lars Huijer had a strong outing.
The righthander threw 10 innings for HCAW.
This time, Neptunus came alongside in the seventh inning.
After scoreless tenth inning, Neptunus scored the deciding run in the eleventh inning on a single by Sheadion Jamanika.
There will be a new Champion this year, as reigning champion Amsterdam Pirates was dethroned by HCAW.
In the best-of-three Play-Offs, the Bussum-team swept Pirates.
Curaçao Neptunus swept DSS/Kinheim in the Play-Offs.
