 Oosterhout Twins records first exhibition-win

 OOSTERHOUT (Neth.) -
Oosterhout Twins recorded its first win of the exhibition-season on Thursday-evening (March 14).
In a 9-inning game, Twins won 6-4 against RCH-Pinguïns, which played its first game.
Twins played twice against Dutch champion Amsterdam Pirates last weekend and lost both games with a 3-2 score.
Initially, Twins and RCH-Pinguïns were to meet in the upcoming weekend, Saturday in Heemstede, Sunday in Oosterhout.
However, due to expected poor weather-conditions (especially for Sunday), the two teams decided to move the games.
Sunday's game was played tonight (Thursday), Saturday's game will be played on Tuesday-evening in Heemstede.
Tonight, the teams played a well-balanced game, which was decided in the eighth inning.
Twins opened the score with one run in the second inning, but RCH-Pinguïns came alongside in the third inning off of starter Misja Harcksen.
Twins immediately re-took the lead in its third at bat.
RCH-Pinguïns then scored twice in the top of the fourth off of new pitcher Terrence Garcia, but this time, it was Twins that tied the score in the fifth.
Both teams scored once in the seventh inning to make it a 4-4 score.
Twins added two more runs in the bottom of the eighth to take a 6-4 lead, which also was the final score.
Harcksen, who threw three innings, and Garcia (2 innings) were followed on the mound by Jan van den Hurk (2 innings) and Raf Cocu (2 innings).
Offensively, Axel Poesmans (two basehits), Marnix Ruben and Wijnand Ruben (double) were productive for Twins.
