 Starting Pitchers Coming Wild Card Series

Coming Thursday-evening (July 24), the best-of-three Wild Card Series opens in the Dutch big league.
In the previous series, the regular season ended.
In the final series, four spots still needed to be decided, being third through sixh place.
League-leader Curaçao Neptunus and second-placed HCAW already had secured a spot in the Play-Offs and also first and second place.
In the Play-Offs, they will meet the winners of the best-of-three Wild Card Series, which will be played on July 24-27.
The best-of-five Play-Offs open on August 14.
Amsterdam Pirates, Oosterhout Twins, Worldwide Pharma Logistics Hoofddorp Pioniers and Kinheim qualified for a spot in the Wild Card Series.
However, their ranking, and thus who would face who in the Wild Card Series was not yet decided.
On Thursday, the opening-day of the series, fifth and sixth place were decided.
When Hoofddorp Pioniers won against UVV 10-4, it meant that the Hoofddorp-team would finish in fifth place and will play in Wild Card Series 2.
Because of the win, Kinheim ended up in sixth place and will play in Series 1.
On Saturday, third and fourth place were decided.
Because of the loss of Amsterdam Pirates against Neptunus, Oosterhout Twins took possession of third place, meaning Pirates would finish fourth.
With that, the combinations for the Wild Card Series were set.
In Series 1, Twins will meet Kinheim and in Series 2, Pirates faces Pioniers.
Last Sunday, Kinheim's home-game against RCH-Pinguïns was halted in the top of the fifth inning due to heavy rain and field-conditions.
At that moment, there were no outs, a runner on second base and Kinheim led 3-0, meaning only three outs were needed to make it an official game.
The game was to be completed last Tuesday-evening, but earlier in the day, the remainder was scrubbed due to the upcoming Wild Card Series and also because the outcome of the game would be of no influence in the final ranking.
Beneath are the announced (probable) starting pitchers for the Wild Card Series that opens on Thursday-evening, July 24.
As always, these pitching assignments can change on game-days.
