Coming Saturday (September 5), reigning champion Curaçao Neptunus and Amsterdam Pirates will open the 41st edition of the best-of-seven Holland Series in Rotterdam.
On Sunday, Game 2 will be played in Amsterdam.
The Holland Series then continues with a 3-game series, beginning on Thursday-evening September 10.
When needed, Game 6 and 7 are scheduled for September 19-20.
Coming Thursday-evening (September 3), the final 3-game series in the Bottom-3 Pool begins.
It will be the 32nd Holland Series-appearance for Neptunus and the 15th in a row, which includes the 2020 Series, which was halted after two games due to the coronavirus-regulations and was not completed.
For Pirates, this will be the 14th Holland Series-appearance and the first since 2023.
In the previous two years, HCAW faced Neptunus in the Championship Final.
This season, HCAW was eliminated for the Play-Offs, finishing in fifth place.
This will be the 12th time that Neptunus and Pirates will face each other in a Holland Series, which includes the 2020 Series.
Of the 10 completed Series between the two teams, both won five.
Neptunus won in 2010, 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018, Pirates won in 1987, 1990, 2019, 2021 and 2023.
In the 2020 Series, Pirates led 2-0 when it was halted.
No champion was crowned that year.
