The first games are in the books.
Reigning champion Curaçao Neptunus opened the new season with a 3-game sweep against Oosterhout Twins.
HCAW, which lost most of its players after last season, also opened with a 3-game sweep, winning against UVV and scored the most runs (33) of all six teams who came into action.
Amsterdam Pirates, which added several players from HCAW, suffered a surprise loss against Kinheim, failing to hold onto a lead of three runs in the final inning.
Kinheim rallied for four runs and won 6-5 in Game 1 of what was a long double-header.
Game 2 ended around 7 PM, ending a long day on the field of some eight hours.
Pirates won the other two games.
In the upcoming series, Amsterdam Pirates has no games scheduled.
Worldwide Pharma Logistics Hoofddorp Pioniers then will play its first games.
Beneath are the announced starting pitchers for the second 3-game series of the 2026 season that opens on Thursday-evening, April 16.
As always, these pitching assignments can change on game-days.
