WASHINGTON, DC (USA) -
His Royal Highness King Willem-Alexander and Her Royal Highness Queen Máxima of the Kingdom of the Netherlands planned to visit the Major League Baseball-game between the Washington Nationals and Toronto Blue Jays on Monday-evening (June 1), as part of their visit to Canada and the United States.
Unfortunately, it rained in Washington, which made the field in Nationals Park unplayable.
And so, the game was postponed due to the rain.
It was re-scheduled for Tuesday-afternoon as part of a split double-header, starting at 1:05 PM (local), to be followed by the regularly scheduled game at 7:05 PM in the evening.
It is not possible for the King and Queen to visit one of these games, as they will be in Grand Rapids (Michigan) on Tuesday and in Chicago on Wednesday, before ending their visit.
Earlier on Monday, the King and Queen visited American President Barack Obama in the white House.
