BRASSCHAAT (Belgium) - After losing 3-2 earlier today against Euro Stars, Sparta/Feyenoord completed their double-header with a 6-1 victory vs. Brasschaat Braves from Belgium.
After two scoreless innings, Sparta/Feyenoord rallied for four runs in the third at bat.
Shurendell Borgschot led off with a walk, then Shaldimar Daantji reached on a throwing error with one out, putting runners on second and third base.
With two outs, the bases were loaded when Ramphis Trinidad walked.
The Rotterdam-squad then opened the score when Gino Henson also walked.
A single by Harvey Monte then resulted in three more runs.
Daantji and Trinidad scored on Monte's single, which was then followed by an outfield-error, enabling Henson also to score.
Two runs were added in the fourth inning, again with two outs.
Shurendell Borgschot then singled and Earmy Isabella was hit by a pitch.
After the two advanced on a wild pitch, they both scored when Shaldimar Daantji singled, increasing the lead to 6-0.
Brasschaat produced only one basehit in the first four innings, an one-out single off starter Berry van Donselaar, who threw only the first inning.
Elton Koeiman then retired eight of the nine batters he faced, before being relieved by Ronald de Bont in the fourth.
In the fifth inning, De Bont gave up an one-out homerun to give Brasschaat their lone run.
