 Dutch Team concludes first trip to Texel

The Netherlands Women Softball Team on Thursday, November 21, completed its first 4-day trip to the island of Texel.
There, the team conducted clinics for local schools and attended a meeting with the local press.
In December, January and February, the national squad again travels to Texel as part of their preparations for next years World Championship, which will be held August 15-24 in Haarlem (Netherlands).
During the first trip, the players of the Dutch Team went to local schools, where they conducted clinics, introducing the children to the tools of softball.
The team was welcomed on Tuesday-afternoon by Mrs. Hennie Huisman, the Alderman of Sports for the Municipality of Texel, during a meeting with the local press.
De Telegraaf, the biggest national newspaper in the country covered the trip with three stories in its newspaper on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
NOS Langs de Lijn made a radio-report (beneath), which was broadcast on Thurday-evening, November 21 via Radio 1.
