Dutch Team finishes in 9th place in Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma (USA) -
The Netherlands National Softball Team closed its third participation in the World Cup of Softball in Oklahoma City with a 7-0 shutout-victory against México.
With that, the Orange squad finished in ninth place.
The Dutch Team decided the game quickly, scoring six runs in the first at bat.
The seventh run was added in the fourth inning.
With that, a mercy-rule run-difference was reached and the Orange ended the game after five innings.
In the first at bat, the first two Dutch runs were scored on a double by Dinet Oosting.
The highlight of the game came moments later when Suka Van Gurp drilled a grand slam homerun!
México collected one basehit off of starting pitcher Ilona Andringa, then added three more off of reliever Ginger de Weert.
