   Olympia Haarlem wins Cup Winners Cup!

 OSTRAVA (Czech Rep.) -
FysioExpert Olympia Haarlem has won the European Cup Winners Cup on Saturday (August 20) by winning a thrilling final against Legnano, 5-4.
Earlier in the day, Legnano had won 4-2 against Brasschaat Braves (Belgium) in the backdoor-game to become the second finalist.
In the final, Olympia Haarlem was off to a good start, scoring two runs in the second inning and adding a run in the fifth.
However, in the bottom of the fifth, Legnano rallied for four runs to take a 4-3 lead!
After having left two runners in the sixth inning, Olympia Haarlem struck again in the top of the seventh.
Mariëlle Vleugels then led off with a single and with one out, Rachel van Veen drilled the ball over the leftfield-fence for a 2-run homerun!
That gave Olympia a 5-4 lead and decided the game!
In the bottom of the seventh, with two outs and a runner on first base, Vleugels (who had taken over the pitching in the fifth) ended the game with a strikeout!
