Two more teams eliminated for Play-Offs
Nederlands
VLEUTEN / THE HAGUE (Neth.) - On Tuesday-evening, Corendon Kinheim shutout UVV 4-0 and Sparta-Feyenoord won 6-5 vs. AamigoO ADO Lakers in two make-up games. Because of these results, Mr. Cocker HCAW and ADO Lakers were officially eliminated for the Play-Offs. And so, UVV is now the lone remaining team that still has a chance of making it into the top-4.

At Vleuten, David Bergman struckout six and gave up only four hits in eight innings, as Kinheim won 4-0 at UVV, whose pitchers Orlando Yntema and Derek Tarapacki struckout 12 batters. Only two UVV-players reached third base, while the Kinheim-defense turned two double plays. After leaving six runners in the first three at bats, included the bases loaded in the third, Kinheim opened the score in the fourth when Niels van Weert singled and scored on a throwing error on an one-out force play-grounder by René Cremer. Three runs were added in the sixth inning when the UVV-defense committed two more errors.

At The Hague, ADO Lakers took a 3-0 lead by scoring runs in the first, second and third inning on a double and sac-fly by Rudy van Heydoorn and a single by Gino Hersilia. But the game then started to turn around from the fourth inning on. In the fourth, Sparta-Feyenoord scored twice on a single by Suri Betrian and an error. Sparta-Feyenoord then took a 6-3 lead by scoring four runs in the fifth inning. In the at bat, ADO Lakers made two errors, starter Ibrahim Redan committed a runscoring balk and Jarred Duin, Jochem Pronk and Kevin van Nederpelt hit RBI-singles. Hereafter, newcomer Sylvester Martina took over and gave up only two more basehits. But Sparta-Feyenoord and veteran lefthander Gregory Gustina held onto the lead. ADO Lakers was able to narrow the deficit to 6-5, but was left empty-handed again in the second game vs. Sparta-Feyenoord which ended through the curfew-rule. A week ago, Sparta-Feyenoord won 7-6 in a game that was halted after only six innings (which took more than three hours). Today, the curfew was almost a few minutes away when the eighth and last inning started, but again the game (which this time lasted almost 3 1/2 hours) could not be completed.
