Sparta-Feyenoord vs. Mr. Cocker HCAW, 6-7 & 4-7
At Rotterdam, Mr. Cocker HCAW was successful twice today vs. Sparta-Feyenoord, winning 7-6 and 7-4.

On April 29, the game between Sparta-Feyenoord and HCAW was halted by the umpires after completion of the top of the seventh inning due to remarks from spectators. The game was then suspended when 'Sparta-Feyenoord didn't comply to instructions of the umpires', as was reported then. The Dutch Federation reviewed the status of the game through written reports and after several talks. It was reported that it has been decided that some 20 minutes after stopping the game, there was no 'threatening situation' anymore and therefore, 'both teams had no blame for stopping the game', meaning it had to be completed.

And so, the game was picked up in the bottom of the seventh inning with HCAW leading 6-3. Several changes were made to the original line-up. On Sparta-Feyenoord's site that included Siegert Flaneur, who no longer is with the club, as he now is playing for Almere Magpies in the 'Overgangsklasse'.

In the eighth inning, HCAW added a run on an error, but then Sparta-Feyenoord answered with three runs in the home of the ninth inning on a double by Edison Bito and a 2-run single by Suri Betrian. But Betrian was eliminated trying to advance to second base, then a flyout and groundout ended the game.

In the next game, HCAW took an early lead, scoring twice in the first inning on a single by JuriŽn Overman and a grounder by Dylan de Mello. Another run was added in the third on an error.

Sparta-Feyenoord then again staged a strong comeback and tied the score. In the third, two runs were scored when Michiel Ruiter reached on a throwing error with two outs. And two more runs followed in the fourth on a double by Jochem Pronk and a single by Emerson Paula.

In the sixth, HCAW re-took the lead, thanks to a 2-run triple by Linoy Croes that made it 5-4, then added two more runs in the eighth. A force play-grounder by JuriŽn Overman and a single by Randy Reiph then increased the lead to 7-4.
