ADO Lakers ends losing streak with win vs. Neptunus

Aamigo ADO Lakers on Friday-evening ended its 8-game losing streak with a surprising come-from-behind 4-3 win at DOOR Neptunus in a game that lasted eight innings as it has reached the 10:30 PM curfew after completion of that at bat.
League-leader L&D Amsterdam Pirates also trailed briefly, as Mr. Cocker HCAW took an 1-0 lead in the first inning, but the home team went on to win big, 21-1.
UVV handed Vaessen Pioniers a 2-1 loss, but didn't got closer to fifth place, as Corendon Kinheim won 14-2 vs. Sparta-Feyenoord.
At Rotterdam, ADO Lakers trailed 3-1 vs. Neptunus when the seventh inning started.
The team had taken an 1-0 lead in the first inning, but Neptunus came alongside in the third, then added two runs in the fifth on a 2-run, inside-the-park-homerun by Shaldimar Daantji.
In the seventh, ADO Lakers came alongside when Neptunus committed two errors, then took a 4-3 lead in the eighth on a single by Evan Porter.
In the home of the eighth, Neptunus got the bases loaded with two outs, but pitcher Martijn Riphagen then struckout Shaldimar Daantji to end the game.
Rookie-starter Laurens Oele held Neptunus to only four hits in five-plus innings, but in the end, Neptunus outhit its opponent 6-4, but also made four errors.
At Amsterdam, HCAW collected five basehits in the first three innings off rookie Ian Delemarre, while Pirates hit none in its first two at bats off Kyle Putnam.
Nevertheless, the score was tied at 1-1 at that moment, but in the home of the third inning, Amsterdam took a 2-1 lead on an error, then Sidney de Jong added a 2-run homerun.
In the fourth inning, the home team rallied for eight runs off Putnam on eight basehits.
In the next at bat, Pirates added nine more runs of Putnam and reliever Gijs van Els, highlighted by a grand slam homerun by Sidney de Jong and a 3-run homerun by Wesley Connor.
De Jong had seven RBI's in the game and went 3-for-5.
HCAW committed five errors, including five on dropped fly balls in the outfield.
At Vleuten, UVV also trailed and went on to win vs. Pioniers.
In the sixth inning, Pioniers took an 1-0 lead on a triple by Gyenuar Lopez, but UVV answered with two runs in its sixth on a single by Giovanni Samboe and a sac-fly by Shurty Tremus.
At Haarlem, Kinheim collected 14 basehits vs. Sparta-Feyenoord and opened the score with three runs in its first inning.
Sparta-Feyenoord got two runs back in the second inning on a 2-run double by Marwin Kleinmoedig, but then Kinheim took more distance from the fourth inning on.
In the fourth, Kinheim scored five runs, then added six more in the next at bat.
A 2-run double by René Cremer and an RBI-triple by Dirk van 't Klooster highlighted the rally in the fourth at bat.
