Nederlands
AMSTERDAM / HAARLEM / ROTTERDAM / BUSSUM (Neth.) -
Veteran pitcher Rob Cordemans of L&D Amsterdam Pirates on Thursday-evening eliminated the 1600th batter in his career with a strikeout to become the third pitcher in Dutch history to reach the mark.
For the first time this season, Cordemans had a no-decision, as the game against UVV ended in a 2-2 tie.
After nine scoreless innings, both teams scored twice in the 10th inning, but the game then had to be halted due to the curfew-rule.
The tie score ended two winning streaks, as Pirates had won eleven games in a row and UVV seven.
For the record: Cordemans' 1600th strikeout victim was Jeff Delfina in the eighth inning, who swung at his 104th delivery of the evening.
Vaessen Pioniers trailed 3-1 when the eighth inning started, scored twice to tie the score, then rallied for seven runs in the 10th inning to win 10-3 and hand Kinheim its fourth loss in a row.
Sparta-Feyenoord was led by its third new Head Coach in five days, but the result was the same, as the squad lost 12-0 to DOOR Neptunus and now has an 8-game losing streak.
Mr. Cocker HCAW won 13-3 vs. AamigoO ADO Lakers and played only six innings, as the game was delayed for almost half an hour due to the low sunset.
With the loss, ADO extended its losing streak to 16 games.
The complete recaps will be added later
