Martinus joins coachingstaff Kinheim
HAARLEM (Neth.) -
Dutch champion Corendon Kinheim has confirmed that Hans Lemmink will be their Head Coach in 2013.
Lemmink, who took over as interim Head Coach during the Play-Offs and led the team to the championship, will be assisted by Stanley Engelhardt, who this season already was an assistant coach.
Newcomer in the staff as 3B Coach is Wim Martinus, who in late August was replaced as 3B Coach at DOOR Neptunus.
Martinus also is the 3B Coach of the Dutch National Baseball Team.
After Kinheim opened the 9-game Play-Off series with a 3-game sweep-loss against Neptunus, the club decided to break with Head Coach Eelco Jansen, who was in his fourth season with the club as Head Coach.
The club also separated with 3B Coach Ralph Milliard, who was in his second year with the Haarlem-club.

Now led by Lemmink, Kinheim won eight of its next ten games to complete a remarkable ending of the 2012 season.
After winning four of the remaining six games in the Play-Offs, Kinheim swept Neptunus in four games in the best-of-seven Holland Series to capture the championship.
Lemmink, who was a member of the coachingstaff since 2010, now will head Kinheim next year in his first full season as Head Coach.
Engelhardt was a first-year member of Kinheim's coachingstaff this season.
Wim Martinus was the 3B Coach of Neptunus since 2008.
In the previous four years, he was the Head Coach of Tridents (the Rookie Team of Neptunus, 2004), Sparta-Feyenoord (2005-2006) and ADO (2007).
In November 2006, Martinus was added to the coachingstaff of the Dutch National Team for the Intercontinental Cup in Taiwan.
He remained with the National Team-staff and became its 3B Coach.
After Kinheim handed Neptunus its fourth loss in a row during the Holland Series on Tuesday, August 21, Neptunus asked its coachingstaff to hand in their positions on Monday, August 27.
On August 30, the Rotterdam-club announced that Martinus, as well as 1B Coach Adonis Kemp were not returning to its coachingstaff for 2013, making them available for other clubs.
Head Coach Jan Collins was to be part of its staff next year.
Two weeks later, it was confirmed that Evert-Jan 't Hoen will be the Manager/Head Coach of Neptunus next season to be assisted by Jeroen Sluijter and Colins.
