 Veteran pitcher Koeiman to play for The Hawks

Veteran pitcher Elton Koeiman will be taking the mound next season for Mampaey The Hawks, which make its debut on the highest level in 2013.
Koeiman is one of ten new players on the roster of The Hawks, which promoted to the big league after winning the best-of-five Promotion/Relegation Play-Off against Sparta-Feyenoord.
On October 23, it was announced that Sparta-Feyenoord was dissolved, marking the end of a historic baseball-era.
Koeiman this season was one of the veteran pitchers of Sparta-Feyenoord, but nevertheless couldn't avoid relegation.
The righthander led the pitching staff with a 5.79 ERA and won two of the five games won by the team this season in the regular season.
Koeiman struckout 38 batters and walked 25 in 88 2/3 inning in which he gave up 131 basehits.
Returning to the big league is outfielder Allard Lammerts van Bueren, who played on the highest level some years ago for Sparta-Feyenoord.
This season, he played for Euro Stars.
Four other new players also have some big league-experience, being pitcher Kevin van Veen, infielders Gregory Trinidad and Urving Kemp (all DOOR Neptunus) and pitcher Pim Swinkels (DOOR Tridents).
Also coming to Dordrecht are pitchers Rick van Dijk (Twins) and Henk van Heijningen (Rotterdam Orioles), catcher Koen Merkx (PSV) and outfielder Frans van de Heuvel, who played for The Hawks before, but didn't play this season due to study.
Leaving The Hawks are utility player Louie-Jay Sienders (Euro Stars) and pitcher Jurgen Klaverdijk (retired).
In 2013, Martin van Zeist will be the Head Coach again after having led the squad to promotion this season.
