Mr. Cocker HCAW adds two foreign players

BUSSUM (Neth.) - Mr. Cocker HCAW on Wednesday announced that it had added two foreign players (both with an European passport) to its roster, lefthanded pitcher Ivan Granados and infielder Jesus Latte. The two players will arrive on Thursday and will be able to play in the evening when the new season starts. HCAW also expended is coachingstaff, as former player Robbert Keetelaar has become the Bullpen Coach.

Iván Miguel Granados Creazzola (27), who was born in Venezuela, but has a Spanish passport, briefly played professionally in the organization of the Oakland Athletics in 2005 and 2006. In both seasons, he pitched for the AZL Athletics, the Rookie League-team in the Arizona League. Granados appeared in one game in 2005 and a year later in only two games, pitching 6 1/3 inning in which he struckout seven batters. He won one of the three games (all in relief) he pitched. Granados then went to play in Europe. He first pitched for CB Sant Boi and Tenerife Marlins in the Spanish competition. The last two seasons, he played for T&A San Marino, with whom he won the Italian championship in both years. Granados also pitch for the National Team of Spain, with whom he participated last month in the World Baseball Classic.

Jesus Armando Latte (25) played in Venezuela and in the Italian Serie A. Latte, who also was born in Venezuela, has an Italian passport. In Italy, he played four seasons (2008-2011) for Poviglio. Last season, Latte played in Venezuela.
