 Dutch champion Kinheim opens season vs. Pioniers

Dutch champion Corendon Kinheim will open the 2013 season on Thursday-evening, April 11 at home against Vaessen Pioniers.
The game, starting at 7:30 PM, is the first game of a 3-game series that continues on Saturday and Sunday, April 13 and 14.
DOOR Neptunus, which lost the Holland Series to Kinheim last season, opens the new campaign at home against Mamphaey The Hawks, which last season promoted to the Dutch league after winning the Promotion/Relegation Play-Off against Sparta-Feyenoord.
L&D Amsterdam Pirates, which last year was dethroned as Dutch champion, opens on the road in The Hague, facing ADO Lakers.
UVV, which barely missed the Play-Offs in 2012, opens in Bussum against Mr. Cocker HCAW.
All games on Thursday-evening start at 7:30 PM, while all weekend-games begin at 2 PM.
The teams who play at home on Thursday also play at home in the second game on Saturday, then go on the road on Sunday.
This format will be used throughout the season.
The final games of the season are scheduled to be played on Sunday, August 18.
The 9-game Play-Off-series then opens on Thursday, August 22 to be concluded on Sunday, September 8.
The best-of-seven Holland Series opens on Saturday, August 14.
Last season, Corendon Kinheim opened the Play-Offs with three losses, then changed coaches, eliminated L&D Amsterdam Pirates and Vaessen Pioniers and went on to sweep DOOR Neptunus in four games in the Holland Series to capture the championship-title.
