  Kalian Sams homers Guasave to victory

In his third game for Algodoneros de Guasave, Dutch outfielder Kalian Sams played a major role for his new team on Thursday-evening (October 17).
Sams hit a 3-run homerun and a solo-homerun, which helped Guasave win 7-1 vs. Venados de Mazatlan.
In his first at bat tonight in the second inning, Kalian Sams singled with one out, but stranded on first base.
Two innings later, in the fourth at bat, Sams struck.
Zelous Wheeler led off with a walk, then Mark Hamilton singled with one out.
Kalian Sams then hit a 2-1 pitch over the leftfield-fence for a 3-run homerun to give his team the lead.
Guasave added a run in the fifth inning on a sac-fly by Wheeler.
But with runners on second and third base and only one out, a double play ended the inning.
Guasave added two runs in the home of the seventh inning to lift the lead to 6-0.
Mazatlan then scored a run in the eighth inning.
But in the home of the eighth, Guasave made it a 7-1 score when Kalian Sams belted his second homerun of the evening.
