At Haarlem, Corendon Kinheim shutout DOOR Neptunus 3-0 behind the strong pitching of David Bergman. With the loss, Neptunus' 11-game winning streak ended, while the team also dropped from first place due to the win today of L&D Amsterdam Pirates.

The game was a pitching duel between David Bergman and Diegomar Markwell, who both pitched eight innings. Bergman gave up only three basehits and struckout seven batters, while Markwell struckout 10 and gave up six hits to Kinheim. But the lefthander also gave up three runs, while Bergman held Neptunus scoreless.

Neptunus reached base several times, but left only two runners, one in the eighth and one in the ninth at bat. In the first, Bergman gave up a lead-off single to Gyenuar Lopez, but he was then eliminated in a double play. In the third, the righthander walked a batter with one out, but Kinheim then again turned a double play. In the fourth, Raily Legito doubled with two outs, but he was later eliminated trying to advance to third base. Bergman then retired the side in the fifth and sixth inning, then Lopez reached on an error in the seventh. But with one out, Kinheim turned its third double play. In the eighth, Benjamin Dille singled with two outs and became the first Neptunus-runner to be left behind. Arshwin Asjes pitched the ninth for Kinheim, gave up an one-out single to Shaldimar Daantji, but then struckout the next two batters.

For Kinheim, René Cremer led off with a single in the first inning, but then Neptunus also turned a double play. Kinheim then stranded two runners in the third inning, was retired 1-2-3 in the fourth and fifth at bat, then opened the score in the sixth. Remco Draijer led off with a single, then moved to third base when a throwing error followed on a sac-bunt by René Cremer, who ended up on second base. Then, two outs followed, but moments later, Draijer and Cremer scored when an error was made on a grounder by Bryan Engelhardt.

Kinheim added an insurance run in the eighth inning. With one out, Cremer doubled, moved on a single by Dirk van 't Klooster and scored on a balk by Markwell. This triggered an argument between Neptunus' Head Coach Evert-Jan 't Hoen and Home Plate Umpire Henri van Heijningen, who ejected the rookie coach.
