Starting Pitchers coming series

AMSTERDAM (Neth.) - The eight big league-teams each have six games in the books in the new season. Reigning champion Corendon Kinheim and DOOR Neptunus are at the top of the ranking. At the bottom of the ranking is Mr. Cocker HCAW, which is still winless and meets Neptunus in the upcoming series.

Mampaey The Hawks completed its first 3-game sweep last weekend by winning three games against ADO Lakers. With the three victories, The Hawks moved into a tie for fourth place.

And so, we arrive at the third 3-game series of the season. Let's have a look at the starting rotations, which was kept intact by most teams.



L&D Amsterdam Pirates vs. Vaessen Pioniers
The starters for Amsterdam Pirates and Hoofddorp Pioniers are the same as in the two previous series for both teams.

Pirates met ADO Lakers and Corendon Kinheim in the previous series, winning three of their six games played. Pioniers was swept in its opening series by Kinheim, then won three games last weekend against Mr. Cocker HCAW.

Pioniers still has to without injured outfielder Jefferson Muzo, while Pirates will probably active pitcher Ben Grover again in the upcoming days.

Corendon Kinheim vs. Mampaey The Hawks
Kinheim and The Hawks also kept their starting rotation intact.

Kinheim opened with a 3-game sweep against Vaessen Pioniers, then won two of the three games played against L&D Amsterdam Pirates. The Hawks made its debut in the big league with three losses against DOOR Neptunus, but then won three times last week against ADO Lakers.

Kinheim will add righthander pitcher Leon Boyd to its roster probably somewhere next week.

ADO Lakers vs. UVV
ADO Lakers announced its starting pitchers on Wednesday, while UVV confirmed in Tuesday that it is going on Thursday and Saturday with the same starters as last week. The rotation of ADO Lakers last week was not the same as in the opening series, except for Game 2 starter Wimsley van Heijningen. ADO Lakers is now back to the rotation of the first week, but in a different order.

Last week, UVV had changed its rotation as opposed to its first series. In the first series, Jurjen van Zijl and Dennis Burgersdijk started the first two games. In their next series, they were announced again to start the first two games, but instead of Burgersdijk Ian Delemarre started in Game 2 against Neptunus.

ADO Lakers opened the season by winning one of the three games against L&D Amsterdam Pirates, but then surprisingly encountered a 3-game sweep loss against Mampaey The Hawks. UVV had a good season-start, sweeping Mr. Cocker HCAW, added a fouth victory against DOOR Neptunus, but then lost twice last weekend.

DOOR Neptunus vs. Mr. Cocker HCAW
Neptunus also kept its rotation intact, as did opponent HCAW.

Neptunus opened the season with three victories against Mampaey The Hawks, but then lost the opener of its 3-game series against UVV. The Rotterdam-squad then won the next two games. HCAW is the lone winless team so far, as the squad from Bussum was swept by UVV and Vaessen Pioniers in its first two series.
