Both teams scored twice in the fifth inning, but got runners on base and got scoring opportunities in the previous at bats.
Kinheim left six runners behind in the first four innings, HCAW stranded four.
In the first inning, Kinheim got two runners with two outs off of Sander Helmendach, who originally was named starter for Saturday's game.
Bryan Engelhardt then walked and Phil Ortez doubled, but they stranded on second and third base.
In the second at bat, Dashenko Ricardo led off with a double, then Dudley Leonora singled, but three outs followed.
In third, Victor Draijer led off with a single, but was forced out on a grounder by Bryan Engelhardt.
The latter then advanced to third base when a throwing error was committed during a steal attempt.
He then was left behind on third base.
In the fourth, Kinheim left a runner on first base.
HCAW was retired in order in the first inning by Tom Stuifbergen.
But in the second at bat, Emersson Paula led off with a walk and Rossini Frolijk reached on an error.
The two moved into scoring position on a sacrifice bunt by Jelle Blaauw, but were left behind.
In the bottom of the third inning, HCAW got the bases loaded with no outs.

In the fourth, HCAW was retired in order again by Stuifbergen.
Kinheim then opened the score with two runs in the fifth inning.
Mervin Gario was hit by a pitch and moved on a sacrifice bunt by Victor Draijer, then scored on a double by Bryan Engelhardt.
With two outs, Engelhardt scored the next run on a single by Jeffrey Arends.
HCAW came alongside in its fifth at bat.
Max Clarijs and Rikkert Kempen both walked and moved on a sac-bunt by Marciano Philippi.
Moments later, they both scored when Roy Seltenrijch followed with a double.
When next batter Kevin Nieveld walked, a pitching change followed, as Pim Walsma took over for Stuifbergen.
The inning then ended when Kinheim turned a double play.
In the sixth inning, Kinheim left a runner on first base and HCAW was retired in order.
In the top of the seventh inning, with one out, Steven van Groningen took over the pitching for Helmendach.
He faced Bryan Engelhardt, who then homered to give Kinheim a 3-2 lead.
However, shortly after Engelhardt had completed his circle around the bases, the game was interrupted to lightning, then rain.
A waiting period followed, but in the end, the game didn't resume anymore and was halted definitively.
With this, all actions of the top of the seventh inning were erased, as they were recorded in a non-completed inning giving the visiting team a lead.
Because of this, the official final score became 2-2 after six complete innings.
