In the fourth, Neptunus scored its next run when Shaldimar Daantji led off with a walk, moved on a bunt-single by Mourik Huijser and scored on a single by Gyenuar Lopez.
Neptunus made it 3-0 in the fifth when Gianison Boekhoudt led off with a walk and scored on an one-out single by Adrian Anthony, but the team again stranded two runners.
In the bottom of the fifth, The Hawks narrowed the deficit to 3-2 off of Belgian starter Kenny Van Den Branden.
With one out, Berend Ruben singled, then scored on a following triple by Brian Raap.

In the ninth, Loek van Mil took over.
With two outs, he gave up a single to Brian Raap (who then stole second base) and walked Gregory Trinidad.
After Raap moved to third base on a wild pitch, Van Mil ended the game by striking out Tim Roodenburg to earn his first save of the season.
