Today, Jurjen van Zijl started for UVV.
He threw 5 2/3 inning and became the fourth 3-game winner of the season.
Initially, Van Zijl was announced as starting pitcher for the first game last Thursday.
But the rotation was then changed, as Venezuelan lefthander Claudio Bavera started instead.
Van Zijl then pitched in relief, taking over in the fifth inning to become the winning pitcher.
Today, the roles were reversed.
Van Zijl started and Bavera pitched the final 2 1/3 inning in relief.
UVV won big today, but nevertheless trailed 3-1 in the third inning.
UVV scored its first run in the first at bat via a sacrifice fly by Dennis De Quint.
But HCAW then scored twice in the second inning.
Raoell Kortstam and Rowan van Hoek both singled.
An outfield-error followed on Van Hoek's single that led to the tying run.
Van Hoek then advanced on a wild pitch and Max Clarijs walked.
Moments later, Van Hoek scored when a throwing error after Clarijs stole second base.
HCAW added its next run in the third inning on a single by Clarijs to make it 3-1.
In the bottom of the third inning, UVV turned the game its way.
Gilmer Lampe and Tony Enos singled, then Dennis De Quint followed with another sacrifice fly.
With two outs, Norbert Jongerius singled in the tying run, then scored the go-ahead run on a single by Mike Bazuin.
UVV took more distance by scoring four runs in the fourth inning via an error, a 2-run single by Enos and a single by Omar Williams.
Three more runs were added in the fifth at bat, thanks to a double by Joris van Ballegooy, single by Gilmer Lampe and another RBI-single by Williams.
In the top of the sixth inning, trailing 11-3, HCAW scored three runs with two outs.
Jazon Allee then walked and Peter van Doesburg singled.
Pinch-hitter Brian Biezen followed with an RBI-single, then the bases got loaded when Roy Seltenrijch walked.
That led to a pitching change, as Claudio Bavera took over for Jurjen van Zijl.
The Venezuelan lefthander then committed a balk, which led to a run, then gave up a runscoring to Emersson Paula, but ended the inning with a strikeout.
A sac-fly by Williams gave UVV its twelfth run in the seventh inning, then HCAW scored its seventh in the eighth at bat on an error.
In the bottom of the eighth, UVV rallied for five runs to reach the 10-run difference and end the game.
Marco Schel took over the pitching for HCAW and walked Dennis Ribbens, then gave up a single to Brennan Nijhof.
A bunt-single by Jamie Verheyleweghen was then followed by a runscoring error.
Hereafter, a sac-fly by Joris van Ballegooy brought in the next run.
With two outs, Tony Enos and Dennis De Quint walked to load the bases.
That brought Omar Williams into the batter's box and he ended the game with a baseclearing, 3-run, walk-off double.
