In the first four innings, starters David Bergman (Kinheim) and Maickel Rietel (HCAW) held each other in balance.
Bergman walked lead-off batter Marciano Philippi in the first inning, from a double play followed.
From that moments on, Bergman retired 14 batters in a row.
Rietel retired the first eight batters he faced.
The righthander then gave up a 2-out single to Jochem Koedijk in the third inning and another 2-out single to Phil Ortez in the fourth.
But both were left behind.
Kinheim then struck with seven runs in the top of the fifth inning on seven hits.
Jeffrey Arends and Dudley Leonora (bunt) began the inning with basehits.
A sacrifice bunt by Victor Draijer then ended in a throwing error, a run and runners on first and third base.
After Draijer stole second base, Jochem Koedijk and Kevin Moesquit followed with runscoring singles to make it 3-0.
Moesquit returned to the line-up today for the first time since JUne 20.
On that day, at Curaçao Neptunus, he left the game after leading off with a single due to a hamstring injury.
With runners on first and second base, Steven van Groningen took over the pitching.
He saw the bases get loaded when Mervin Gario reached on a bunt-single.
Kinheim then added four more runs.
The first on a basesloaded walk for Bryan Engelhardt, then Phil Ortez hit a 2-run double and Dashenko Ricardo added an RBI-single.
This brought in Gijs van Els as new pitcher.
He was more successful, as a double play and groundout ended the inning.
In the remainder of the game, Kinheim was held scoreless.
Van Els retired the side in the sixth, then walked Engelhardt with one out in the seventh.
Tony Kreisel took over the pitching, but Kinheim then loaded the bases via a single by Ortez and walk for Dexter de Weert.
HCAW avoided more runs by turning another double play.
In the eighth, the HCAW-defense made another double play after Niels van Weert had led off with a walk.
In the ninth, Kinheim appeared to add another run.
Rookie Thomas Bos led off with a pinch-hit triple, then pinch-hitter Sander Paap walked.
But after a strikeout, HCAW turned its fourth double play in the game.
After having retired 14 batters in a row, David Bergman gave up a lead-off single to Jarreau Martina in the sixth inning.
It would be the lone hit Bergman gave up, as he struckout the next batter, then Kinheim turned its second double play to end the inning.
Bergman retired the side in the seventh, then Scott Ronnenbergh took over the pitching.
The lefthander was greeted with a single by Gianni Frolijk, but then retired the next three batters.
In the ninth, Glenn Wassink closed the game for Kinheim and retired the side to end the game.
