In Sunday's game, The Hawks batted in only seven innings, as Tridents had run out of pitchers. The Hawks had enough pitchers, so they played nine innings defensively. As the home field of The Hawks isn't ready for the season yet, Sunday's game also was played in Rotterdam, just as the day before. But, as scheduled, The Hawks remained the home team in the game.

Initially, only one run was scored in the first three innings. With one out, Stephen Henson and Julian Goins both walked in the first at bat. Henson then stole third base and went on to score on a folliwng single by Steven Wharwood. However, The Hawks also stranded three runners in this opening at bat.

Tridents was silenced in its first three at bats by starter Evan Simons. The righthander struckout two batters and gave up singles in the first and second inning, but both runners didn'd get beyond first base. Mitchell Berghmans took over in the fourth inning, began with two strikeouts, then walked a batter, but he then was caught stealing. In the fifth, Maikel Berghmans became the third pitcher for The Hawks. He retired the side in the fifth, then gave up two runs in the sixth, but at that time, The Hawks already led with a 7-0 score.

Leading 1-0, The Hawks rallied for five runs in the fourth at bat. In the inning, Gino Hersilia and Chris Williams both began pinch-hit singles, then the bases got loaded when Kilian Jansen walked. A sacrifice fly by Amir Dou then brought in a run and Jules Peters added an RBI-single. The bases were then re-loaded when Stephen Henson walked and another run was added when Julian Goins also walked. A following single by Steven Wharwood accounted for two more runs and lifted the lead to 6-0.

In the fifth, Amir Dou singled and went on to score the seventh run for The Hawks on a 2-out single by Stephen Henson.

Trailing 7-0, Tridents was able to do something back in the sixth inning, scoring twice off of Maikel Berghmans, who in this inning gave up three singles, hit a batter, but also struckout two. In the bottom of the 6th, The Hawks got one run back when Steven Wharwood and Gino Hersilia both doubled.

Quinn Tramm then pitched two scoreless innings for The Hawks in the seventh and eighth inning. The Hawks added three more runs in the seventh inning, which was their last offensively, as Tridents had run out of pitchers. The team got the bases loaded, then a run was scored when Steven Wharwood was hit by a pitch. Later in the at bat, Chris Williams added a 2-run single to lift the lead to 11-2.

In the ninth inning, Tridents scored its last run off of Jesper Krutzen.

Next weekend, The Hawks will play its next exhibition game on Sunday at home, hosting Borgerhout Squirrels from Belgium.
