Starting pitchers Nick Veltkamp (Kinheim) and Giovanni Tensen (HCAW) both threw three scoreless innings, but then the scoring began.
In these first three at bats, Kinheim was the most productive of the two teams.
The home team registered four basehits, while HCAW hit only one.
But it was HCAW that accounted for the defensive higlight of the game in the first inning.
Tensen walked lead-off hitter Kevin Moesquit, then gave up a single by Mervin Gario.
Hereafter, Dashenko Ricardo lined to short stop Roy Seltenrijch for the first out.
But as both runners were off base, Seltenrijch was able to start a triple play!
He first threw the ball to second baseman Emersson Paula to eliminate Moesquit, then Gario became the third out, as Paula threw the ball in time to first baseman Rikkert Kempen to complete the triple play.
In the bottom of the second inning, Kinheim stranded three runners.
With one out, Kalian Sams doubled, then Bryan Engelhardt was walked intentionally.
A single by Dudley Leonora loaded the bases, but then a strikeout and flyout ended this scoring opportunity.
For HCAW, Max Clarijs led off the third inning with a walk, then Peter van Doesburg singled.
But with one out, the first was caught stealing at third base, then a strikeout ended the at bat.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, Kinheim opened the score with two runs.
With one out, Bryan Engelhardt singled and stole second base, then advanced on a single by Dudley Leonora.
A sacrifice fly by Jasper Keijzer and following throwing error gave Kinheim its lead.
Kinheim more or less decided the game by scoring five runs in the fifth inning.
Mervin Gario led off with a single, which brought in new pitcher Gijs van Els.
Gario then stole second base and moved to third base on a single by Dashenko Ricardo.
While approaching third base, Gario sustained a hamstring-injury and was replaced by pinch-runner Niels van Weert, who then scored on a single by Jeffrey Arends.
Hereafter, Kalian Sams followed with a towering 3-run homerun that gave Kinheim a 6-0 lead.
Bryan Engelhardt then walked and went on to score the next run on a single by Kevin Moesquit.
Gario's injury is the second in three days for Kinheim.
Last Thursday, starting pitcher Tom Stuifbergen was bothered by knee-problems and left the game after 4 2/3 inning.
HCAW then scored twice in the sixth inning.
With one out, Roy Seltenrijch singled, then scored when Rossini Frolijk homered to narrow the deficit to 7-2.
The HCAW-defense then turned a double play in the seventh inning on a line drive by Jasper Keijzer, but Kinheim added two more runs in the bottom of the eighth.
Facing new pitcher Bob Klaarenbeek, singles by Jeffrey Arends and Kalian Sams lifted the lead to 9-2.
