Pirates took more distance by scoring three runs in the fourth inning, thanks to a 2-run double by Kenny Berkenbosch and a sac-fly by Bas Nooij.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, UVV scored its two runs off of Dennis Burgersdijk, who had taken over the pitching from starter Rob Cordemans in the fourth at bat.
Looking ahead, this means that Cordemans will be the probable starter for Amsterdam on Tuesday-evening in the make-up game against Curaçao Neptunus.
