The only two runs today were scored in the first and second inning in what was a pitching-duel between Kaj Timmermans (HCAW) and Quinn Tramm (The Hawks).
Both pitchers threw a complete game.
This marked the first time this season that two pitchers went the distance in the same 9-inning game.
Timmermans needed 116 pitches to throw a 3-hitter, while Tramm used 103 pitches and gave up four hits.
Tramm gave up all four hits he allowed in the first two at bats in which HCAW scored its two runs.
In the first inning, Tramm walked lead-off hitter Marciano Philippi, but he was caught stealing.
Next batter Jelle Blaauw then also walked, but he was forced out on second base on a grounder by Roy Seltenrijch.
However, Seltenrijch then stole second base, advanced on a throwing error and scored on a following single by Emersson Paula.
In the second at bat, Rossini Frolijk led off with a homerun to double HCAW's lead.
Hereafter, Jarreau Martina singled, then Rikkert Kempen singled with one out.
The inning ended with a double play.
In the next six innings, Tramm held HCAW scoreless and hitless and allowed only three more batters to reach base.
In the third, he walked Seltenrijch with one out, but he stranded on second base.
After having retired eight batters in a row, Tramm walked Seltenrijch again to start the sixth inning and this time, a double play followed.
In the eighth, Tramm walked Philippi, who also would be left on second base.
Timmermans retired the first seven batters in a row, then gave up an one-out single to Gregory Trinidad in the third, then HCAW turned a double play.
In the fifth, he walked Jules Peters with one out, but he would be left on first base.
In the seventh inning, The Hawks got another runner when Berend Ruben walked with one out, but he was caught stealing to end the inning.
In the next at bat, Julian Goins singled with one out, but also was caught stealing.
In the top of the ninth inning, Chris Williams led off with a single and moved to second base on a grounder by Odion Gouverneur to become the lone runner to get into scoring position for The Hawks.
Moments later, he was caught stealing after a pick-off, then a grounder ended the game.
