Patrick Bok led off with a single, but was forced out on a grounder by Linoy Croes.
He then moved to third base on a double by Roelie Henrique, then scored on a single by Michael Duursma, who leads the league in walks (42) and hit batter (10).
Moments later, Henrique scored the second run on a grounder by Nick Urbanus.
A single by Kenny Berkenbosch followed, but Amsterdam left two runners behind.

Lead-off hitter Bas Nooij reached second base on an error, then advanced when another error was made on a sacrifice bunt by Jesse Aussems.
Nooij scored when Aussems was forced out on a grounder by Patrick Bok, but Pirates would strand two more runners.

That brought in new pitcher Dennis Buring and the inning then ended when Henrique was caught stealing.
Amsterdam took more distance by scoring two more runs in the eighth at bat off of Sedley Karel.
Remco Draijer led off with a walk and Bas Nooij followed with a ground-rule double.
They scored when Jesse Aussems also doubled and that gave Pirates a 7-2 lead.
After Pioniers had scored twice in the sixth, Pirates turned a double play in the seventh, then Ward retired the side in the eighth.
In the top of the ninth inning, Pioniers added one more run.
With one out, Vince Rooi and Mark-Jan Moorman singled.
Rooi advanced to third when an outfield-error followed, then scored on a single by Quintin De Cuba, which also was followed by an outfield-error.
With runners on second and third base, Tom de Blok took over for Ward and retired the next two batters to end the game and earn a save.
