But The Hawks then scored a run in the fifth and HCAW was unable to regain a 10-run dfference.
It even had to give up five more runs that made it a 13-9 final score.
HCAW scored its first run in the first inning when Jarreau Martina led off with a triple and scored on an one-out single by Raoell Kortstam.
The Bussum-squad then rallied for four runs in each of the next three innings.
In the second, Max Clarijs and Jarreau Martina singled with one out.
Next, Roy Seltenrijch popped up for an infield-fly (which was not caught).
With two outs, the bases got loaded when Raoell Kortstam was hit by a pitch.

The two then moved on a passed ball and scored on an one-out triple by Jarreau Martina.
A sacrifice fly by Roy Seltenrijch and an error accounted for the next two runs.
Trailing 9-1, The Hawks got two runs back in its third at bat thanks to a sac-fly by Berend Ruben and a grounder by Steven Wharwood.
HCAW then staged another 4-run rally in the top of the fourth to put the score almost out of reach.

After a pitching change, Roy Seltenrijch added a 2-run triple and scored himself on a single by Rossini Frolijk.
This gave HCAW a 10-run difference lead, but the team was unable to finish the game via the mercy-rule in seven innings.
The Hawks made it a 9-run difference in the fifth inning via a double by Wharwood.
In the seventh and eighth inning, the home team added five more runs to narrow the deficit to 13-9.
In the seventh, an error and a sac-fly by Wharwood accounted for two runs.
In the eighth, a single by pinch-hitter Brian Raap, an grounder (after a pitching change) by Odion Gouverneur and triple by Stephen Henson brought in three runs.
HCAW's lead didn't come into jeopardy, but it needed almost 3 1/2 hours to complete this victory.
