The Yankees collected 14 basehits, including three by the Amsterdam-born Gregrius, who was 3-for-3, scored a run and batted in one.
Gregorius, who was the lead-off batter in five Spring Training-games of the Yankees, batted in eighth position against the Braves.
After the Yankees had stranded one runner in the first two innings, Gregorius led off the third inning with a single off of starter Mike Foltynewicz.
When next batter José Pirela struckout, Gregorius stole second base.
Another strikeout followed, but then Gregorius scored the opening run for the Yankees on a single by Chase Headley, which led to a pitching change.
In the top of the fourth inning, James Russell became the new pitcher for the Braves.
He gave up a lead-off double to Garrett Jones, then a homerun to next batter Stephen Drew, which lifted the lead to 3-0.
Hereafter, Chris Young grounded out, but then Gregorius followed with his second single in the game, a line drive to rightfield.
This time, Gregorius was left behind, as two flyouts followed.
In the fifth inning, the Yankees rallied for four runs.
Chase Headley led off with a walk and then Brian McCann homered.
Next, Mark Teixeira doubled and his pinch-runner Tyler Austin then moved to third base on a grounder by Jones.
Another grounder followed for the second out, but then Austin scored on a single by Chris Young.
Hereafter, pitcher James Russell was relieved by Arodys Vizcaino, but he was greeted with a runscoring triple by Gregorius on his first delivery.
With that, the Yankees took a 7-0 lead.
In the bottom of the fifth, Gregorius was replaced by Cole Figueroa, who took over as short stop.
In the sixth inning of this game, Atlanta-catcher A.J. Pierzynski was ejected by veteran home plate umpire Joe West for arguing on balls and strikes.
Gregorius has now played in 10 games and is hitting .273 (6-for-22), including a double and two triples.
He scored three runs and batted in four.
