UVV opened the score with two runs in the second inning off of starter Lars Huijer.
Dennis De Quint and Mike Bazuin led off with singles.
With one out, everyone was safe when a fielding error followed on a force play-grounder by Norbert Jongerius.
The second out followed when De Quint was forced out at home on a grounder by Jamie Verheyleweghen, but then Dennis Ribbens was hit by a pitch to give UVV the lead.

Huijer accomplished this feat with only five pitches and he then walked Dennis De Quint to bring in another run.
That marked the end for the righthander.
He was relieved by Sedley Karel, who ended the inning with a strikeout and went on to become the winning pitcher!
In the remainder of the game, Karel held UVV (his former team) hitless, while Pioniers turned the game around in its favor.
UVV-starter Jim Ploeger encountered no problems in the first six innings he pitched.
In these innings, the lefthander struckout seven batters and gave up only one basehit.
After having retired the first six batters in a row, Ploeger walked two batters in the third.
He then struckout the next two batters and a flyout ended the inning.
In the fourth, with two outs, Mark-Jan Moorman singled, but Ploeger then retired the next seven batters again in a row.
Trailing 4-0, Pioniers scored its first run in the seventh inning when Ploeger allowed four baserunners.
Ploeger hit lead-off hitter Mark-Jan Moorman with a pitch, then gave up a single to Kevin Dirksen.
An error on a force play-grounder by Kevin Weijgertse then led to the run.
With one out, Quintin De Cuba singled.
Dirksen was waved home to score, but was eliminated at the plate, then a flyout ended the inning.
In the bottom of the eighth inning, Jerremyh Angela took over the pitching for Ploeger.
The lefthander gave up a lead-off homerun to Dirk van 't Klooster.
This was the first homerun of the season for the all-time hit leader and only his fifth since 2006.
After giving up the homerun, Angela retired the next three batters.
In the bottom of the ninth, UVV let the game slip out of its hands.
Angela walked Kevin Dirksen and Kevin Weijgertse, then was relieved by Ian Delamarre.
The two runners advanced when no out was made on a fielder's choice-sacrifice bunt by pinch-hitter Taylor Clemensia.
Hereafter, Delamarre gave up a 2-run single to Quintin De Cuba that tied the score!
With Clemensia on third base, De Cuba then stole second base, but hereafter Daniel Fernandes and Dirk van 't Klooster flied out.
The game then appeared to go into extra innings when Danny Rombley grounded the ball to first baseman Jamie Verheyleweghen.
However, the Belgian player committed an error, enabling Clemensia to score the winning run.
