Neptunus was held scoreless in the first four innings by Jurjen van Zijl.
The righthander was supported by a double play in the first inning, then retired the side in the second and third at bat.
After having retired nine batters in a row, Van Zijl gave up a 2-out single to Raily Legito in the fourth inning, but he was forced out.

The Rotterdam-squad then opened the score with two runs in the top of the fifth.
Dwayne Kemp led off with a single, stole second base, then scored on a triple by Shurman Marlin.
A following single by Urving Kemp then brought in Marlin.
In the top of the sixth inning, the entire infield of UVV was changed.
Two new players were inserted, while two others moved to another position.
Also, a new catcher took over behind the plate and there also was a switch in the outfield.
In this at bat, Raily Legito led off with a single, but was caught stealing.
Neptunus then decided the game with a 4-run rally in the seventh when also a new pitcher was inserted by UVV, being Ian Delamarre.
Dwayne Kemp led off with a single and stole both second and third base.
The bases got loaded when Shurman Marlin and Urving Kemp walked.
Next, Shaldimar Daantji singled to bring in two runs.
With one out, the bases were re-loaded when Christian Diaz walked, then Benjamin Dille delivered an RBI-single.
A sacrifice fly by Raily Legito then brought in the fourth run in this at bat and lifted the lead to 6-0.
A defensive highlight came when UVV's centerfielder Gilmer Lampe made a great diving catch on a line drive by Raily Legito to end the top of the ninth inning.
Neptunus-starter Kenny Van Den Branden held his former team hitless in the first three innings.
There were some runners, but UVV stranded three of them.
In the fourth, Norbert Jongerius connected for the first UVV-basehit, but he stranded on second base.
Trailing 2-0, UVV got close to scoring a run in the fifth.
With one out, Dennis Ribbens reached on an error, then Gilmer Lampe singled.
With two outs, the bases got loaded when Dennis De Quint walked, but the three stranded when a flyout ended the inning.
In the seventh inning, Kevin Kelly took over for Van Den Branden and retired the side.
UVV was held to only two hits in seven innings, but then added two in the eighth off of new pitcher Berry van Driel.
Tony Enos led off with a single, then Mike Bazuin singled with one out.
With two outs, both runners were awarded the next base when Van Driel committed a balk, then the bases got loaded when Omar Williams walked.
But UVV left three runners behind when Van Driel closed the inning with a strikeout.
Loek van Mil closed the game.
He walked Dennis Ribbens with one out, then finished the game with two strikeouts.
