Today, DSS took the lead three times, but The Hawks came alongside each time.
In the eighth, DSS took the lead for the fourth time, this time for good.
DSS took a 2-0 lead in the first inning off of starter Tim Halderman.
Both runs were unearned as The Hawks committed four errors in this at bat.
Lead-off hitter Mark Smit reached on a fielding error, then advanced when a pick-off went errant.
Hereafter, Sven Jongejans walked and Tino van Erk's single was followed by an outfield-error, resulting in the first run.
A force out followed on a grounder by Levine Gabriëls.
Moments later, Jongejans scored the second run when an error followed after Gabriëls had stolen second base.
The Hawks came alongside in the third inning, scoring twice off of starter Tim Halderman.
These runs also were unearned.

He then scored when Chris Williams reached on an error.
Moments later, Williams stole third base and scored on a following single by Gino Hersilia.
In the fifth, Williams was ejected for discussing the strike zone of HP Umpire Coen van Lierop.
DSS re-took the lead in the bottom of the third when Tino van Erk led off with a walk and went on to score on a force play-grounder by Mitchell Koot.
The Hawks then tied the score for the second time in the fourth.

Tino van Erk then again led off with a walk and scored on a triple by Levine Gabriëls, who then scored himself moments later on sac-fly by Koot.
But again, the lead was not enough, as The Hawks scored runs in the sixth and eighth inning to come alongside for the third time.
In the sixth, Steven Wharwood led off with a double and scored on a sacrifice fly by Brian Raap.
In the eighth, Max Ploegstra took over the pitching for Halderman.
Ploegstra walked Gino Hersilia, but he was forced out on a grounder by Gregory Trinidad.
Wharwood was then hit by a pitch and a following single by Julian Goins made it a 5-5 score.
After a strikeout, Kevin Geestman became the new pitcher for DSS.
He ended with a strikeout, but the game was tied for the third time.
In the bottom of the eighth, DSS took the lead for the fourth time.

A sacrifice fly by Sven Jongejans then gave DSS a 6-5 lead.
In the top of the ninth, Geestman retired the side, striking out the final two batters to secure the win.
