Kinheim initially took a 2-0 lead in the first inning off of starting pitcher Kenny Van Den Branden, who made his first start of the season.
The Belgian righthander gave up a lead-off single to Kevin Moesquit, who then stole second base.
Next batter Mervin Gario was hit by a pitch, then Dashenko Ricardo singled.
This brought in Moesquit and as an outfield-error followed, Gario also scored.
With two outs, Sven van der Sanden had a 10-pitch at bat, including four foul balls.
One of those foul balls hit Home Plate Umpire Martijn Bosschaart full on his mask.
Bosschaart was attended to and continued the game, while Van der Sanden struckout.
In the bottom of the second inning, Neptunus came alongside off of starter Glenn Wassink.
With two outs, Urving Kemp and Shurman Marlin singled.
Hereafter, Shaldimar Daantji and Mourik Huijser also singled to bring in both runners and make it 2-2.
After completion of the second inning, the game was interrupted, as HP Umpire Bosschaart decided not to continue, feeling dizzy after being hit by the foul ball in the first at bat.
Bosschaart left out of precaution and felt fine again after the game.
1B Umpire Roy van de Wateringen took over behind the plate, while Peter Brink became the lone umpire in the field.
Initially, Brink was to be the Home Plate Umpire this afternoon, but he switched with Bosschaart, as he was recovering from a cold.
In the bottom of the third inning, Neptunus again scored two runs.
With two outs, Raily Legito (who had walked with one out) moved on a double by Dwayne Kemp.
Singles by Urving Kemp and Shurman Marlin then gave Neptunus a 4-2 lead.
Kinheim narrowed the deficit to 4-3 in the fifth inning.
With two outs, Dudley Leonora doubled and scored on a single by Jeffrey Arends.
Both teams left two runners in the seventh inning and Neptunus was still leading 4-3 when the ninth inning began.
Former pro Loek van Mil then took over the pitching for Neptunus.
He saw Kevin Moesquit reach on an error, then Van Mil made a throwing error himself towards second base trying to force out the runner on a bunt by Mervin Gario.
The two runners then advanced on a wild pitch.
A sacrifice fly by Dashenko Ricardo then tied the score and a single by Dudley Leonora gave Kinheim a 5-4 lead.
In the bottom of the ninth inning, Kinheim-closer Arshwin Asjes retired the side to become the winning pitcher.
