Veteran pitcher Rob Cordemans started for Amsterdam Pirates, while Mike Bolsenbroek took the mound for Regensburg Legionäre.
A few weeks ago, both were part of Team Europe, which played a 2-game series against Samurai Japan in the Tokyo Dome in Japan.
Cordemans started the second game of the Series, which was won 6-2.
Bolsenbroek didn't pitch in the 2-game series.
Amsterdam short stop Michael Duursma and pitcher Kevin Heijstek also were part of Team Europe.
Duursma played in the second game, Heijstek also didn't get into action, like Bolsenbroek.
Cordemans and Bolsenbroek held each other in balance in an interesting pitching duel in the first innings of the game.
In the sixth inning, Tom de Blok took over the pitching for Cordemans and he gave up two runs in the sixth inning, which were produced by Ludwig Glaser and Kai Gronauer.
In the seventh inning, David Mendelsohn became the new pitcher for Regensburg and he gave up the first Amsterdam-run.
Regensburg (which was the visiting team today) still led 2-1 in the bottom of the ninth inning.
David Brandt had become the new pitcher for the German squad and he was one out away from the victory, but then Kenny Berkenbosch drove in the tying run.
