UVV scored a run in all of its innings, except the seventh and final at bat. The team opened with one run in the first inning when Joris van Ballegooy led off with a walk, stole second, advanced on an error and scored on a grounder by Dennis De Quint.

The second run was added in the second inning. With one out, the bases got loaded when Thomas Smits and Sam van Dijck singled and Dennis Ribbens walked. A single by Joris van Ballegooy then led to the run and left the bases loaded. Next, Gilmer Lampe grounded to third baseman Gino Hersilia, who forced out Ribbens, then threw the ball in time to catcher Brian Raap, who tagged out Van Dijck to complete a double play.

A 4-run rally followed in the third inning. Dennis De Quint led off with a single and Mike Bazuin doubled, then Norbert Jongerius singled in a run. With one out, Thomas Smits followed with a 2-run double. Later in the at bat, Smits scored the fourth run when Kevin van Veen was charged with a balk.

UVV then had another 4-run rally in the fourth. In this at bat, Mike Bazuin began the rally with an RBI-single, followed by a 2-run double by Norbert Jongerius and a runscoring single by Jordan Illis.

The next run was added in the fifth when Gilmer Lampe tripled with one out, then, after a 7-minute rain-delay, scored on a double by Dennis De Quint.

Two more runs were scored in the sixth. The first run was scored when Dennis Ribbens grounded into a double play, the second run was scored on a single by Jamie Verheyleweghen to make it 13-0.

The Hawks collected only four basehits and reached third base only once. In the first at bat, the home team got its first runner in scoring position. Odion Gouverneur led off with a single and moved on a sac-bunt by Stephen Henson, but then stranded on second base. The Hawks then got its second and last runner in scoring position in the seventh inning. Steven Wharwood led off with a single, moved on a grounder, then reached third base on another grounder, but also was left behind.

UVV-starter Jurjen van Zijl became the fourth 5-game winner of the season.
