Storks-starter Jayden Gonesh did well in the first two innings.
The righthander retired six of the seven batters he faced, three of them with a strikeout.
In the second inning, he walked Duncan Beljaards with two outs, be he stranded on first base.
But in the third inning, Gonesh gave up three basehits and four runs to Pioniers.
He walked lead-off hitter Daan Kuit, then made a throwing error himself on a following sacrifice bunt by Raul Jacobs, which led to runners on first and third base.
With one out, both scored on a double by Victor Draijer, who extended his hitting streak to 17 games with this basehit.
Moments later, he scored himself on a single by Max Draijer.
The rally continued with an RBI-double by Joey Eeman, which brougt in the second Draijer and lifted the lead to 4-0.
Hereafter, Gonesh recovered and struckout Nathan Berkel and Duncan Beljaards to end the inning.
Pioniers added two more runs in the top of the fourth off of Gonesh, who this time began by striking out Jorrit Penseel.
With one out, Daan Kuit and Raul Jacobs singled.
Kuit scored on a sacrifice fly by Mervin Gario who is the playing Head Coach of Pioniers.
Tonight, he had penciled himself in the starting line-up as third baseman and lead-off hitter.
Jacobs went on to score on the second double in two innings by Victor Draijer.
He stranded on second base, as the inning ended when Max Draijer fouled out.
Righthander Yassir Lachkar started for Pioniers and was more or less used as an opener, as he only threw the first inning.
Lachkar retired the side, then was relieved by Nick Loos in the second inning.
Loos, who threw three innings, walked Jurriaan Dijk with one out, then an error was made on a force play-grounder by Jurian Hansen.
A next force play-grounder by Joost van den Bergh was more successful, as it led to an inning-ending double play.
Storks got its next runner in scoring position in the third inning.
With two outs, Joel Hernandez singled and Brian Raap walked, but Luuk Visser then flied out.
Trailing 6-0, Storks scored its lone run in the bottom of the fourth.
With one out, Nick Loos walked Jurriaan Dijk and Jurian Hansen, who both advanced on a wild pitch.
Dijk then scored on a sacrifice fly by Joost van den Bergh.
Diornick Sanchez took over the Storks-pitching in the top of the fifth and held Pioniers scoreless.
In the home half of this at bat, Storks got into scoring position again, but failed to score.
New Pioniers-pitcher Matthijs Oosterbeek (who made his debut) walked Sydney Hoeverts and Joel Hernandez.
The two runners advanced to second and third base on a flyout by Brian Raap, which was followed by an error.
With two runners in scoring position, the two best Storks-hitters this season were coming to bat.
But with the runners on second and third base, Oosterbeek got defensive support as new Pioniers short stop Bram Stoovelaar (who had entered in the previous inning) caught a line drive hit by Luuk Visser.
Oosterbeek then closed by striking out Ibrahin Redan.
In the top of the sixth, Pioniers added two more runs.
Jorrit Penseel led off with a single and with one out, Raul Jacobs was hit by a pitch.
Penseel went on to score on a single by Mervin Gario, then Jacobs scored the next run while the Storks-defense turned a reversed double play on a grounder by Victor Draijer.
In the bottom of the sixth, another pitcher made his big league-debut in the team of Pioniers.
Adonis Jacobs, the brother of second baseman Raul Jacobs, took the mound to take over from Matthijs Oosterbeek, who had done fine in his debut-inning.
Jacbobs began with a walk for lead-off hitter Jurriaan Dijk, but then also did fine, as he retired the next three batters.
After new Storks-pitcher Nick Winkel had retired the side in the top of the seventh, his teammates scored twice in the bottom of the seventh.
First, Adonis Jacobs got two nice outs when rookie short stop Bram Stoovelaar first caught a very high pop-fly, then another line drive.
But with two outs, Jacobs hit Brian Raap with a pitch and gave up a single to Luuk Visser.
The runners then respectively scored on a single by Ibrahin Redan< and double by Jurriaan Dijk to make it an 8-3 score.
Hereafter, Reangelo Willems, who mostly plays as an outfielder, made his first pitching appearance in the highest division.
With runners on second and third base, he got an inning-ending grounder from Jurian Hansen.
In the top of the eighth, a position-player also took the mound for Storks, as short stop Kelvin Knape took over from Winkel, who threw only one inning.
Knape also pitched briefly last Sunday against Curaçao Neptunus.
After getting two quick outs, he gave up three more runs to Pioniers.
First, Daan Kuit walked, then Raul Jacobs singled, which gave Pioniers runners at the corners.
Kuit then scored in a well-executed double-steal.
After Mervin Gario had walked, Victor Draijer delivered his third double of the game and brought in both Jacobs and Gario to give him five RBI's tonight.
The last time that a player of Pioniers hit three doubles in one game was on August 10, 2013.
Back then, Mark Duursma hit three against ADOLakers.
Storks scored its last two runs in this game in the bottom of the eighth inning off of Reangelo Willems.
He walked Brian van der Vlist and Kelvin Knape.
The two moved on a grounder by Sydney Hoeverts, then Van der Vlist scored on a grounder by Jurnest Virginie, followed by a passed ball that enabled Knape to score.
Pioniers got an opportunity to add another run in the top of the ninth, as it got the bases loaded with two outs.
With Duncan Beljaards (fielder's choice) on first base, Jorrit Penseel walked and Daan Kuit singled, but the inning ended when Raul Jacobs flied out.
Jorrit Penseel, who started the game at first base, then played at third base, closed the game of the mound for Pioniers and became the fourth consecutive pitcher of the Hoofddorp-team to make his pitching-debut in the highest league.
He walked lead-off hitter Luuk Visser, who moved on a wild pitch and an error.
