Tonight, Rob Cordemans started for Amsterdam Pirates and threw five hitless innings.
The 45-year old righthander threw 63 pitches and struckout five batters.

He struckout all three batters he faced.
With Amsterdam Pirates leading 10-0, Matz Schutte threw the seventh inning.
He walked one batter, but kept the No-Hitter intact.
For Veltkamp and Schutte, tonight were their first pitching appearances in the Top-4 Pool and their first appearances in almost a month.
Despite that, the two showed that their control was not bothered by that and they encountered no problems.
On September 4, both threw one inning in relief against Silicon Storks.
In that game, Cordemans also was the starter and threw five innings in an 11-0 win to become the first pitcher with 200 career-wins.
Opponent HCAW got only two baserunners in the 7-inning game.
Rob Cordemans retired the first six batters he faced.
He then hit lead-off hitter Leandro Anasagasti with a pitch in the top of the third inning.
Moments later, he moved into scoring position when Cordemans made a throwing error during a pick-off attempt.
The veteran righthander then struckout the next two batters.
Hereafter, the next pick-off by Cordemans to second base was successful, as he eliminated Anasagasti there.
He then retired the side again in the fourth and fifth inning.
With that, Cordemans faced the minimum total of 15 batters in the five innings he threw.
As mentioned, Nick Veltkamp then struckout three batters in the sixth inning.

The at bat began with a line drive from lead-off hitter Jeandro Tromp, but the ball was caught by third baseman Delano Selassa.

Bonevacia became the second baserunner for HCAW, but hereafter, Kevin Dirksen flied out and that ended the game, as Pirates was leading with a 10-0 score.
All outs made by Pirates were made in the infield.
Of the 21 outs, there were eight strikeouts and eight groundouts.
As mentioned, there was one pick-off.
The other outs were two foul-outs, one flyout and one line out.
The line out in the seventh inning was the lone hit that jeopardized the No-Hitter.
Amsterdam Pirates got two runners in scoring position in the bottom of the first inning, but was held scoreless by HCAW-starter Luuk ter Beek.
With one out, Gilmer Lampe reached on a bunt-single, then Sharlon Schoop doubled.
With runners on second and third base, Ter Beek struckout Kalian Sams, then a flyout ended the at bat.

Kenny Berkenbosch led off with a single, then moved to third base when Delano Selassa also hit a single.
Niels van Weert followed with a runscoring single.
Hereafter, Selassa and Van Weert moved on a sacrifice bunt by Max Clarijs, then got awarded the next base when a balk was called.
With that, Selassa scored the second run.
With Van Weert now on third base, Roelie Henrique hit a line drive.
But that was caught by second baseman Berend Ruben, who hereafter caught a pop-fly that ended the inning.
The home-team rallied for three runs in the third inning.
With one out, Kalian Sams singled and scored on a triple by Denzel Richardson.
Next batter Kenny Berkenbosch grounded to third baseman Kevin Dirksen.

In the bottom of the fifth, Delano Selassa led off with a homerun to lift the lead to 7-0.
With one out in the bottom of the sixth, Sharlon Schoop singled, which was his third basehit tonight.
His pinch-runner Raydley Legito moved into scoring position when next batter Kalian Sams walked.
The two runners then scored when Denzel Richardson hit the ball over the leftfield-fence for a 3-run homerun.
With two outs, Delano Selassa reached on an infield-hit to record his fourth basehit in the game.
Hereafter, a pitching change followed.
Second baseman Berend Ruben took over the pitching, while Arthur Bonevacia was inserted as new second baseman.
An unfamiliar position for Bonevacia, as he is an outfielder.
The inning ended when Niels van Weert grounded out.
With Pirates now leading 10-0, Matz Schutte became the third Pirates-pitcher in the top of the seventh.
As mentioned, the righthander walked Arthur Bonevacia with two outs.
